Wall Paint rather than tiles sa bathroom

Guys, any pros and cons on using paint sa bathroom rather than na common tiles? seen a few pics a net of bathroom painted walls and they look good? pratical ba sya sa atin? anong paint kailangan gamitin? Masmadali kasi magpalit ng kulay pagpaint rather than wall tiles?

there are only a few types of paint that are water resistant and these are not used for interior application because of its prohibitive price.

plus paints are not smooth. there is a big chance mildew will easily develop because it take a longer time to dry an uneven paint surface rather than a glazed ceramic tile or sealed homogeneous tile.

the finish is also difficult to maintain because 5 coating of paint is not even a fraction of a millimeter.

better stick with wall tiles instead.

Yun ang maganda sa tiles... madaling linisin, buhusan mo ng tubig na may sabon &/or Z0nrox, brush mo or sponge, then buhos uli ng tubig para banlawan. Mabilis matuyo and less germs...

Choose tiles. You're also investing on health and unnecessary pagod...

    ...aaahhhh... :dizzy:
  • Thanks for the reply.

Naisip ko lang kasi if I am going to put a shower enclosure generally magging tuyo yung orther parts of the bathroom. Mas madali kasi magpalit kung paint rather than tiles
  • Ang mahirap lang sa paint - madulas kapag basa. Ang nakikita ko na style sa ibang bahay, yun lower half ng wall ang naka tiles, pati buong floor tapos yun upper half - painted na.

i've seen paints used in bathrooms... pero i see it more as nagtitipid yung builder more than any other reason.

floorings has to remain as tiled. merong shower enclosure / bathtub and the parts that get wet are atleast covered in fibre glass.
