  • That 160k SiR is likely a LXi or at best a VTi visually modded to look like an SiR. No one in his right mind would sell an original SiR for less than 300k.

well, kung ang Honda Civic SiR na binebenta is a flooded model. :hiya:

Those are two very different types of vehicles purposely built for specific needs. Ask yourself what your lifestyle is and you would be able to choose the appropriate vehicle.
  • Unless he is your very best friend leaving the country or related to you, 160k is super low for a true Sir. Or perhaps flooded as mentioned earlier.
I would opt for the crv, more practical.

@kelunji; LXi pala ** hehe, pinagmukha lang na SiR:lol:
my gf and I will be using this for work. mga 34kms/day ang distance.
mdami nagsasabi sakin na malakas sa gas ang CRV.
alin po ba ang mas efficient in terms of fuel consumption? i need to consider as well the monthly maintenance needed for these 2 cars.:)

If was modified to look like an SiR, don't buy that. Malamang feeling razer-razer ang dating may ari and chances are laspag yan. Always go for a car that is near stock condition when you're buying second hand.

The Civic LXi is definitely more efficient then the CR-V. However, if your priorities are efficiency and reliability for the day-to-day commute, you may want to look for a newer vehicle like a 2003-2005 Vios maybe?

i got same advice from my friends na better to get a 2000 and up model.
kasu budget ko lang talaga ay 250k na ang max.
or else baka patusin ko nlng *** carloan ng kapatid ko for a mirage g4 of mitsu.

Figure set aside 1/3 of your budget for repairs.

If it's a daily driver for work, you would want a car that is very fuel efficient. The mirage is a good car for your purposes. So is the Vios as well as the Jazz and City. I heard the Hyundai i10 CRDI is also good though I have never driven one.

Think over getting a brand new car well also. At least with that you are assured of less maintenance problems in the first few years. If the amortization, service and insurance costs will fit your cash flow, the go for the new Mirage (i like the hatchback more though... hehe).

On getting a second hand, if your budget is 250K then the car you have to search for should cost maybe around 220-230K since you would expect extra expenses for a general service and repairs.
