Nahihirapan mag apply due to failed subjects nung college any tips? :'(

Isa to sa mga rason *** nahihirapan din ako mag apply ito mga experience ko na na reject ako na tingin ko dahil sa grades. From lasalle ako pero 7 ang failed subejcts ko most of them are math ang programming subjects nasa huli ang pagsisi bakit di mo inayos pag aaral mo pero di pa naman huli lahat tuloy ang takbo ng buhay any tips pamplakas ng loob?

company 1 : nung na interview ako tinatnong kung me bagsak na dismaya pinauwi na agad
company 2: nakita tor ko try daw ako i endorse sa ibang position
company 3: pasado exam pero di daw pasado gpa at di din daw allowed may failed subejcts sa position na yun
company 4: nka sched pa *** ako pero may napagtanungan din ako na they don't allow more than 2 failed subejcts

any tips? pang pa alis ng depression

it depends on the company e , meron mga company strict sa grade na kahit anong galing ng applicant kapag madaming bagsak hindi tinatangap.

meron din naman company na hindi nag ccheck ng grades at binabase lang sa skill ng applicant at experience kung fit sa job or not.

career shifter ka diba ? try mo muna mag start sa small-medium IT company na nag offer ng developer position pero hindi na nagccheck ng grades at nagbabase lang talaga sa technical skills ng applicant.

Kapag kasi BIG IT company , usually kasama ang TOR sa screening although hindi naman lahat ng BIG IT company ganyan.

Hmm. I am ECE Graduate with 18 units of failure. Nagpabagsak ako nung 1st sem ng 7 units because I wanna shift from ECE to IT. Wala akong alam sa career shifting. I am from la salle too with 8 failing subjects.

Sa pagAaply sama mo na agad TOR as soon if possible so di masasayang oras ninyo wag na wag mo siya ihuhuli. Since para alam mo na sa paper screening pa lang kung pasado ka na or hindi...

Nahihirapan ka? This is not to motivate you but to somehow give you a chance to i don't know uhmm. Reflect?

Baka naman kasi you carry yourself like a failure that's why. I'm not trying to make you mad but wag mo sana gawing excuse ang failing subject ( i know some companies are strict in terms of grades, but meron pa namang hindi) kaya wag ka sana mawalan ng pag-asa

Since your TOR expresses the opposite of what you're trying to make your employer-to-be to see. Ang bawi mo na lang is how you would win them in the interview ( i'm not saying you should be a yes-man to everything) but you ought to show that your grades doesn't define you as a person generally.

Next is to admit to them that you have made a mistake in the past, particularly poor time management (idk if you play dota as well pero factor yan,undeniably). Show them that I know I made a mistake but There's more of me you ought to see, and how'd you carry on from that mistake. ( Sana naman natuto ka from it, i bet you do )

Tulungan mo ang sarili mo, wag na wag mo kalimutan yun.

Sorry kung mahaba, mas mahina kumpyansa ko sayo that's why i'm trying to somehow make you a little less of me. Animo? ))

pasa lang ako ng pasa basta sa tingin ko *** ko naman yung job , pero try lang ng try ako makakakuha din ako nakakahinayang lang na yung mga binagsak ko na realize ko ay madali lang pala yun isa sa mga dahilan *** ako nag shift ng career ay ang TESDA masasabi ko lang ang laki ng impact sakin ng tesda kumbaga parang mas nahubog dito yung gusto kong tahaking karera. Pero di naman grado basehan sa kakayanan technical pa din at madami pa namang mga kompanya dyan GV lang palagi

HI guys, i did have failing grades too pero 4 subjects ***. When the HR asks you why you had failing grades, you should be honest and then tell them that you did your best. Usually sa mga engineers naman basta pag pumasa ka ng boards no bearing na yung tor mo eh.

I did also experience for ex. the HR asks, why you had 3.0 sa tor, then I told them, na our school is very strict. Mataas ang standard. Yung 3.0 na yan sa ibang school baka 2.0 na yan.

Well ito ang dilemma ng ilan sa mga aplikante, either sablay ka sa ilang subjects mo, nag transfer ka sa ibang university/college, o kaya naman tinubuan ka na ng kabute sa pananatili sa college (kahit di kanamang nag ma masteral o doctorate). Nagawa mo mang gumaraduate at makapag tapos sa pagaaral, kahit anong gawin mo naka tatak na sa iyo nayan, sa pagkatao at kaluluwa mo. Its just a matter of giving justice at patunayan sa sarili mo at sa kanila na kaya mo talaga in the working world. Tiwala lang at walang kayabangan.

Ako may isang sem ako na lahat ng grades ko e non-numeric. Haha. D, W, INC. Pero kasi i stopped in that sem at automated ang system namin na kapag AWOL ka at nagbayad ka ng half ng tuition ay magbibigay padin ng grades ang profs mo. Dapat nagapply ka nung di ka pa gumagrad up to 1st month ng pag grad mo, kasi you can say naman na to follow nalang yun. Haha. At may mga companies naman na di nagbabase sa TOR, just ensure na galingan mo sa interview. Btw, di ko pa to nararanasan pero may mga companies daw na JO ka na then after hingin ang TOR for the last step e di ka na tatanggapin, sarap pumatay ng mga HR na to. HAHAHA! Irequired na agad ang TOR b4 exam kung ganun sistema nila para di sayang pamasahe. Mga hinayops. :v :v

mejo kinabahan ako dito. haha. kasi customs ad ang course ko before, and madami akong units na na-fail and drop. pero nagshift na ako sa psych, okay na yung grades ko now kaso masasama ba sa TOR yung mga subjects na kinuha ko nung customs ad pa ako? (ex.: macroeconomics, accounting, business finance which are NOT included in psych curriculum)

hindi ko po kasi nakita yung proseso, automatic na computer nagcredit eh. nacredit mga ge subjects ko. but my concern is kung lalabas din ba sa TOR kahit hindi ko pinacredit, kasi kinuha ko parin siya diba. at kung oo, may effect ba ito sa future ko haha.

Ang alam ko lahat lang ng subjs ng isang curriculum ang makikita sa TOR so i dont think makikita yun, unless ang subject na yun e included sa curr. ng psych(pinagshift-an mo) at pinacredit mo. Pero kung kinuha mo naman sya ulit ng di pinacredit dahil mayaman ka naman at masipag ka (hahaha) e i dont think makikita sa TOR yan. Depende sa company ang grades.

Dapat kasi sa ad ng company na walang failed subject lang pede magapply para di sayang oras ng applicant.

swertihan nalang humanap ng company na hindi tumitingin sa grades, kundi sa degree na natapos.
in my college, 16 units ang bagsak ko, and yet, nakahanap naman ng trabaho.

i think, you just need to overwhelm them with your skills... wala naman silang pakealam kung halimbawang magiging developer ka, tapos, bagsak ka sa filipino or psych, di ba?

There's this big IT company based in Mandaluyong, and they have other sites in the Metro as well na talagang cinompute yung grade ko. Well may IQ Test na mahirap and doon pa lang masusukat na if you are fit for the job. After the test, interview agad, and from that i concluded nakapasa ako. The interview process went well. Mag eextend na daw sila ng job offer afterwards. After 2 hours, the HR specialist went back saying that their 2.8 GPA calculation of my grades passed their qualifications, so nag extend na sila ng job offer.

My advice: di man kayo makabawi sa transcript, be confident on what you know. Ipapaexplain pa sa inyo yung thesis niyo, and be honest about what you know. Di man kayo makabawi sa grades sa interview kayo bumawi.

PS: 8 units of failure incurred, all redeemed by 2nd take.
