So the higher ups in RCC couldn't care less about the RH law. Is this a case na gusto lang umepal ng mga local bishops.

the church supporting its hateful Deuteronomy and Leviticus provisions is schismatic. And if it's schismatic, it's not love. and if it's not love, it's hate.

So Pope Francis comes to save the day. Concentrate muna sa love, compassion. Love your enemies. Love those who advocate the RH bill.

And provisions in the RH bill is not compulsory to Catholics. Catholics can still be good Catholics even with the RH bill passed.

The CBCP is only giving lip service to Francis' call. They are still focused on the domestic power politics; and the RH Bill is the current power game in town.
  • Jose Rizal was right.

quoting, " ... no one has a monopoly of the true God, nor is there a nation or religion that can claim, or at any rate prove, that it has been given the exclusive right to the Creator or sole knowledge of His Being."
  • Jose Rizal was right.

quoting, " ... no one has a monopoly of the true God, nor is there a nation or religion that can claim, or at any rate prove, that it has been given the exclusive right to the Creator or sole knowledge of His Being."

So does that make Jose Rizal an agnostic, cuz that quote doesn't sound like it came from a devout catholic?
  • They should follow the Pope's stance and not go against it.

If we were in the medieval times when they were burning witches and suddenly the Pope announces no more burning, and they will say, "I agree with the Pope. I mean, every one is entitled to their own opinion. But, we will still be burning witches".

    Dangerous behaviors.

so ano sa tingin mo ang CBCP, nagshift nga ba ng focus or ganun pa din?

look at the commentaries of that news report. nearly everyone's angry with the bishops.

The evangelicals can just use their power during elections. But the Church is trying to nullify a passed law. Let's see what happens, kung may ngipin pa rin ang Simbahan sa Pinas.

your presumption is as good as mine.

    OnT:
Jose Rizal said this at a time the Philippines was under an unsecular state. and now, these men (bishops) are continuing their backward influence over our government even though the leaders of their religion has already accepted change.

frailocracy in the philippines ended a century ago and these bishops are clinging to every catholic sub-conscience that the filipino bishops are always right.

hindi na AMO ang tawag ng filipino sa pari ngayon ..... father na lang.
