why the contradiction? is pope francis unbiblical?

but the bible says!

Anyone who does not worship God must be put to death (2 Chronicles 15:13).
Anyone who worships another god must be stoned to death (Deuteronomy 17:2-7).
Anyone who curses or blasphemes must be stoned to death (Leviticus 24:14-16).
If a city worships other gods, kill everyone in it and burn it (Deuteronomy 13:12-16).


why like that?
1. pope francis is cherrypicking
2. pope francis doesn't respect yahweh because yahweh is not god, and only jesus is. (gnosticism and marcionism)
3. pope francis is lying through his teeth to get more converts and believes that atheists will go to hell.
4. pope francis is the next anti-christ
5. pope francis and the vatican are both nut cases.

    It is obvious na sumakay lang si Francis sa panahon. Atheists are in, so he wants in. But the Unchanging Words of God in the Bible are clear. And, Francis, allegedly pope in Rome, is blatantly unbiblical in this issue.

    Are you saying that if we are not jews, we should NOT quote the OT? We should make all our moral arguments based on NT only? Or should we keep some nice OT arguments like Sodom and Gomorrah?

    Well, di ba 2 commandments na lang in the NT? I thought his crucifixion already nullify the power of the OT Law. Kaya nga era of grace di ba? I don't know about 10%, I still give tithes though. Not because it is the law but because I understand that as a member of my church, it is my obligation to give. Para naman kasi kaunti yan.

    Eh wag ka na magbigay ng ikapu!! OT na OT yan!! Just give love love and more love!! Or... give 9% or 11% para wala sa OT!!

    Ibang klase din ang church mo... pag dating sa KUWARTA, OT is ok!! :lol:

    No, what I am saying is that you can't apply the OT Law in the NT era. You can't stone people to death in the year 2013 just because they are gays or atheists or adulterers.

    Eh marunong lang kami mag-isip. Kasi pag winter hindi naman kami maninigas sa ginaw at hindi namin kailangan magdala ng kandila or flashlight para magkakitaan kami. I mean, seriously, let's just use common sense in here at hindi yung maka-kontra lang.

    so how do we know what to follow in the old testament and what not to follow? use common sense?

    common sense says there's nothing wrong with *****, homosexuality and premarital sex. don't forget contraception using condoms and birth control pills.

    besides there are things in the old testament which can never be correct. for example, when is it moral to ***** female prisoners of war. and when is it moral to stone women who are not virgins at their wedding night.

    OT is garbage nga eh. Except tithing. Yan lang ang common sense na kailangan. :lol:

    Why did God give OT rules that we are embarassed to implement now? What is the NT rule for adultery or gayness?

    Well, the greatest commandment pretty much sums it up. From there siguro naman makukuha mo na yan.

    Because Jesus wasn't crucified yet?

    Okay, here's the thing. The Mosaic Law was the law of the land during the Old Testament, it's not the case today. You can't stone them to death because that is against the law. If everyone agrees that that is the law and then okay, no problem. Sige subukan nyo silang batuhin hanggang mamatay and see where you are going to end up.

    Stoning anybody to death is always bad, bad today, bad 4,000 years ago. God should have known that and should have thought those Bronze-Age Israelites what is the good thing to do. The fact that he failed in that proves two assertions:

    a. That he is not all-knowing. He could not even know that his commands would be illegal today.

    b. His words are not unchanging. They were changed.
