Innova or Adventure

We are going to buy an AUV (brand new) and the choices were narrow down between :

Innova 2.0 J Gas
Adventure GLX.

Any recommendation Pexers? TIA

For my opinion choose innova. (Base on my experience) Walang sakit sa ulo binigay sa akin tong kotse na to. May 1999 advanture bnew ako dati after 4 yrs maingay na makina. Sa innova 6 yrs na namin gamit ok parin ang engine nya. Although mas ok na yung mga diesel engine yr 2005 up.

Sorry wala ako experience sa innova gas. Pero ang ka office ko binenta nya ang innova vvti nya, malakas daw sa gas

If you get the manual version ng gas, matipid naman enough for me

we have two.

an 09 and a 12 version.

masmalakas ang sipa ng 09 na makina kaysa 12, but steering feels better sa 12.

but overall tipid padin naman ang gas consumption, a full tank of approx 45 liters nets me 380 to 400km. those are really decent numbers. IN CITY driving na IWAS trapik. which means i stay away from places like edsa.

plus kayang kaya ang 140kph. even got to as high as 160. for an auv - those are really good numbers.

adventure's engine is really dated an underpowered.

sa itsura na lang ako, mas pogi si Innova, pero mukhang mas spacious si Adventure, not sure, hindi ko pa sila nakikita ng malapitan yung loob.

So, magkakatalo yan sa space, sa comfort at sa porma, sino ang mas lamang sa inyo?

Yan talaga advantage ng gas sa diesel mas mataas ang hp. Pero once maglabas ang innova ng 2kd-ftv + VNT
For sure madami nanaman bibili ng innova. Imagine the whistle turbo sound sa innova

Innova no doubt. Even if it's a gas model.

I'd probably only consider the Adventure if it was to be for fieldwork/fleet use by company drivers.

grand livina is pitted against avanza as it is a different car class (compact MPV).

Any of those two will do for me. The adventure has the size and space so it is use best when going outside the city or for family outing. The innova, on the other hand, is best used as daily service thinking about it's efficiency.

The adventure GLX is diesel right? I think it is better for you to compare the diesel variants against each other but here's my opinion:

A. Looks - the Adventure has been around longer than the Innova so it looks a bit dated. The Innova looks a lot more modern and sleeker so the Innova wins for me.

B. Suspension - the chassis is based on the hilux so when compared to the Adventure, it is a bit more comfortable though I think the Adventure's is more heavy duty. If you're after comfort, the Innova wins whereas if you're going to load things into your vehicle, the Adventure is better.

C. Engine - the 4D56 is a workhorse. Just look at the countless L300 delivery vans running around the city so you are assured of reliability and assurance that there would be plenty of parts for it. However, the diesel engine of the Toyota is very efficient with plenty of low-end power whereas the petrol engine of the
Innova delivers power closer to the top end so you need to step on the accelerator more to squeeze more out of the engine. Think of what you need and decide. Just remember that diesel engines require more maintenance and very regular oil and filter changes to prevent it from belching black smoke.

D. Interior - the Innova's interior is by far superior to that of the Adventure's which is a bit spartan in my opinion especially if you get the G or the V Innova variants.

E. Safety - the Innova has better safety features.

F. Space - the Adventure wins in this department since its rear compartment can hold more but it does not win by a mile since the Innova's rear seats also fold up. You can just squeeze in a bit more.

All in all, I would pick the Innova over the Adventure. And just to add, ASBU units are more prone on catching Adventure drivers for smoke belching. If having a similar car as a UV Express is an issue for you, then the Adventure is surely out.

I echo most of the sentiments, Innova would be the choice car for me. It has a newer and slightly powerful engine than the Adventure, and it may suite the needs of a family of 6.
