Toyota Vios 2013 or Honda City

mga sirs, ano po sa tingin nyo mas maganda sa dalawa? sa looks? next week kami kukuha. yung first choice ko is city kasi ang angas ng itsura. tapos nung lumabas vios maganda din. pero parang mas nagagandahan pa din ako sa city. kaya lang 5 years na yung model ng city next year daw may bago baka biglang magluma ang design. ano sa tingin nyo po?

it really depends sa taste mo, looks and performance. anong engine ba yung gusto mo on those models? 1.3 or 1.5? both of them are terrific cars on its class.

try to do test drives and look for dealers for the best deals (discounts, packages, etc)

sr, pag kayo alin sa inyo jan? san mas maganda sa looks? 1.3 kukunin namin next week. di pa ako makadecide. may angle kasi na hindi ako nagagandahan sa vios kahit new model na. parang pagmalayuan yung 2nd generation pa din nakikita ko parang bilog.hehe pag ang city kasi same age lang sa 3rd gen na vios hindi na ako magiisip city na. kaso 2008 pa to baka din biglang may bago next year.

im also in this dilemma nowadays. based on my readings in different blogs. its consistent if you prefer a practical car..vios. however when it comes to looks and porma..city remains superior. nagkakatalo n *** sa performance ngmakina and resale value. im also torn between this two, but leaning towards vios coz of the price and maintenance later on. my family owned a toyotabrand. altis in particular midel 2000.12 years old na. daily ang byahe alabang makati. every 3months to pangasinan. never pa sya nasira..as in NEVER! trusted n **** toyota for us. just my two cents..

An all new City/Jazz is coming up by next year AFAIK. Right now, i'd get the new Vios; tried and tested pa yung pangilalim (in my case, i find the Vios suspension to be sturdier than the City/Jazz).

Power-wise, the City has more top-end (high rpm) speed while the Vios has better low-end torque (hatak).

If you're in a rush, go for the current Vios. Can't go wrong with that. The City is now the older car. If a new one comes out next year, it might be worth the wait.

Looks is relative to the beholder. If you ask me, Honda usually has a more fantastic design but when the new model comes out, it suddenly looks old. I find the conservative designs of Toyota to age better.

Hold on to your current car. As far as looks, the City is better; wait for the updated model next year. The Vios looks like a disguise of another brand, doesn't have personality, and often looks confusing and ugly, in my opinion.

1.3 vios = 85 HP
1.3 city = 100 HP
1.6 ex = 115 HP

Baka pag i-akyat ko yang vios sa amin sa Quezon at dadaan ng bitukang-manok, baka di kaya.

Something a lot of people don't know really. The 1.3 City may have more hp then the Vios 1.3 but i will put my money on the Vios when it comes to climbing a steep mountain road as most of its torque is available at the lower 3K-4K rpm range while the Honda has most of its torque at well over 5K rpm AFAIK.

maganda talaga ang vios pag malapitan lalo na sa showroom. pero ang hindi ko maintindihan bat nagiiba pag may nakikita na ko sa daan na tumatakbo. nagiging pabilog na at di na matapang ang harap.hehe parang namamaga ang itsura na parang maaout of balance.hehe last week of october o 1st of nov ko makuha *** vios e a/t brown kahit di ko pa nakita sa personal.hehe ano ba maganda brown o gray? pero baka last minute magcity o avanza ako.ehehe kinoconvince ko pa talaga sarili ko na maganda vios. ang ganda kasi ng rio.

OT lang: medyo naiinis lang ako sa isang user sa TGP (and friend ko siya sa FB) bashing the new vios, and raving the Mirage G4 more. parang gusto niyang ipahiwatig na i-overtake ng Mirage G4 ang vios. for me naman, maganda din naman ang Mirage G4.

BTW, if I add the Mirage G4 here, what will you choose?
