Need advice about 2nd hand 95 Lancer

My friends dad is selling me his 95 lancer gl for 100k, mileage is at 60k since they use it for school and home only. This does not have power windows, im not sure if its power steering though. Is it worth it?

At this day and age, its more practical to get an all power amenities. You can get a 95 nissan sentra SS with all power features. Its fuel efficient as well.

95 model tapos 60k mileage lang? check mo maigi kung ok naman lahat (ilalim, electrical, etc) then kung sure ka ok naman lahat kunin mo na. madali naman ipa-convert into power windows, locks and power steering eh

The Lancer GL variant came with only power steering. That also has a 1.5 engine that came from the previous lancer. Check the following:

A. Windows - Mitsubishis are notorious for bad window mechanism.
B. Suspension - the front suspension breaks down often on that particular model. The shocks should have been replaced already as they'd be worn out by now.
C. Engine - How does it pull? By now, all the belts in that car needs replacement including the timing belt.
D. Clutch - This pedal can get stiff. Has the disc been replaced? How does it feel when you step on it?
E. Brakes - These should have been replaced by now too. Check if the front rotors have grind marks.
F. Tyres - The tyres should have been replaced a few times already. If the tread is still thick, check how old it is. The tread may still be thick but the rubber is already brittle.
G. Rubber seals and weatherstrips - These would already be worn out and brittle too and may need replacement.

Have the car lifted and look for signs of corrosion. Check under the carpets of both the trunk and the cabin for signs of rust.

Is your friend's dad the first owner? Is the car original paint? If not, try to double check on the mileage vis-a-vis the condition.

A 1995 Lancer GL or GLi? It's not the EL? Check out the electricals and suspension and look for signs of collision damage.
