too late na ba yan para makapagwork as a developer?

im in a state of depression. pakiramdam ko nauubusan na ako ng panahon para makasabay.

  • As in fresh graduate this year or tambay/ibang career muna? Ako 24 ngayon fresh graduate. Okay lang yan bro. Haha. Haha.
  • actually 25 palang ako. hehe. nagstop ako 3rd yr college(financial prob) working ako ngayon as sys admin.

Mahirap dito kasi yung age limit.

Although it's true na sa IT Industry, if you're 27 years old already and just starting your career in IT, you're kind of old na. So, you have to prove that you can still contribute unique and fresh ideas to the company/organization. :)

    Good luck!

try mo muna pumasok ng related sa course mo kuha ka ng expi kahit 1-2 years, madali lang lumipat ng ibang field pag may work experience ka na.
  • Wala sa age yan. It's never too late.

Invest in training and certifications. It will give you a headstart, promise.

Age isn't really a big factor in most Global Software Companies.

  • yung ka-batch ko nung college naka graduate nung 28 na sya tas nagtrabaho entry-level web designer, tas after two years senior web developer na sya. continuous effort, not young age, is the key to unlocking our potential. hehe. apir!
Invest your time.
  • i was 26 when i finished college (BS CS), the reason was i work before i went to college. after that, i can't find a job so i started business at 'probinsya'. when i was 33, my business went south. I hit rock bottom and got depressed, and I have family already. That's also became my strength, i simply did not think about my age and i have no luxury thinking about my rusty IT skills. I just tried and tried then i get a job as a programmer, 6 years now. I am not saying i am very successful in my direction today. I work hard to catch up with these young guns of today. and the good news, technology also is improving everyday and it seems everyone is catching up too including the young people.

Don't think about your age, what ever motivate you today hold on it and don't let anyone discourage you.
  • 2009 - Graduated BS Computer Engineering.
2009-2012 - family business in the province (not related to my course).
Q4 2012 (4months) - ventured in Metro Manila and enrolled in a short course (IT related).
2013 (January to present) - currently working as a Software Developer and a SEO. i'm also 27 years old and this is my first corporate job.

it's not the age they(employer) after, it's your talent.
