isn't it beautiful when laws are enforced instead of expecting people to be automatically disciplined?

interesting if they can maintain enforcement.

Too bad kasi in reality (at least in most places) mass public transport is suppose to be the solution to traffic and pollution (more people in one vehicle).

Pero in the Philippines because the system sucks it's the mass transport that's being diverted :glee:

If only mass transport (like fixed stops, no picking up in the middle of the street, dedicated bus lanes, discipline drivers and commuters, functional traffic cops and enforcements) operated better,

    Backwards
  • What do you think of ordinance as a whole?

For me, I'm not sure if I'm fully in favor of it.

Kung within Manila lang siguro or kung mayroon kang sasakyan, ok siguro ito, pero kung labas-pasok ka ng Manila sa daily commute mo through public transportation, malaking adjustment.

For the commuters who live outside of Manila but study and work in Manila or vice versa, IMHO the purpose of having a better traffic within Manila through this ordinance is defeated.

  • We can't say that the ordinance is perfect. I think this was prematurely implemented. The ordinance needs improvement.

Lalong magsisiksikan doon.

I think it's a step in the right direction.

Ideally, the jeepneys should have been banned instead of the buses.

But knowing how such move would cause massive uprising, I think pwede na to. :glee:

20-30 meters of walk? That's way nothing. A lot of us, I am sure, can walk longer distances any time of the day.

Still, I want to experience the traffic-reduced Taft. Hohoho.

How about any weather of the day? :)
  • purpleheadd07purpleheadd07 PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐
  • It is the jeepneys which must be banned and not the buses.

Only air-conditioned buses and vans (UVs) must be allowed for public transport in Manila.

    Good question.

Sunny days, there're no problems in this kind of weather. If it's some mild rain, there are raincoats, umbrellas, and what have you. If there's a storm, though... why will you go out if there's a frigging storm (unless it is very, very, important)?

But, if a continuous rain brings flood with it, contingency plans must be set. :D

    kung tagbaha mag improvise :D
