as far as i know... walang 'hot restaurant' nowadays.. pinipilahan now are foreign franchises.

i suggest abe.. para saken, pinaka masarap na resto that serves local dishes yun padin.

more expesive, obviously. but worth it :)

Try Pino Resto Bar, Oriang / Cafe de Bonifacio for modern Filipino dishes. :D

Aristocrat in Malate. Making a comeback ata sila recently, renovations and all.

Ang ganda siguro manood ng sunset dito. :)

thanks everyone, i need to set my own itinerary, kasi everyone's working mon-fri, so weekends lang nila ko masamahan, well weekday nights pala pwede, pero syempre ayoko naman tumunganga sa bahay buong mag hapon everyday.

    excited na ngako.

@ beerhand, abe? ok, id check it out, san ba yan?. kung mahal, ok lang, ako lang naman magisa :hiya:

basta on weekends, plan ko, treat my relatives and friends sa resto, syempre di sila yung pang mahal noh. pang family lang yun. pero higher naman sa fast food, ayoko naman mapintasan, na si "nikki ang cheap , chowking lang ang linibre samin, :glee:

@michy, yes, Filipino food and Japanese talaga kini crave ko, paguwi. Mukhang ok yan, modern Pinoy
    style.

@purple, yes, Im so craving for seafood, Ill try it.

@pantone, wow, ang bongga na ng Aristocrat, nasa list ko na rin to, but seeing your pic, made it more interesting.

    keep it coming guys,

then on my own, on weekdays, my plans are to visit Glorietta-Greenbelt, Trinoma-SM City, MOA, Greenhills, Megamall-Galleria, Libis, and yung bago SM daw, and Market Market snd Global, more on these places sana yung restos na ma suggest nyo.

any more places pa anyone can suggest. thanks guys, id really appreciate it.
  • Little has changed since your last visit 3 years ago. The popular food trend right now are foreign foods (Bon Chon, yogurt shops, J Co Donuts, Ramen, Korean food, Pepper Lunch).

For family dining, I recommend Mesa and Bagoong Club. They're both located at Tomas Morato.

For casual eating, Mang Inasal, Chickboy.

For take home, Mila's Lechon, Andoks, Baliwag, Sr. Pedro.

For grazing (eating here and there) then go to the mall and sample the food stalls such as Bibingkinatan (mini bibingka), Goto King (lugaw), and sometimes sisig stalls. Some malls have kwek-kwek and balut stalls. If you go to SM Supermarket in the morning, they have a lot of ready-to-eat pinoy delicacies to choose from.
  • abe and elias. dont miss razon's halo-halo and tita paring's suman

it's going to be around 500 to 600 per person. so a table for 4 is going to be around 2000 to 2500. i think for the quality of what you get, it's good.

they have a few branches - serendra (the fort), trinoma, and sm moa.

never tried moa and trinoma before.

if you are on the adventurous side, you have to pay homage to retiro pares, and bulaluhan sa n ramirez. both in qc.
  • nikkilovenikkilove PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐
thanks guys!!! I appreciate all your suggestions,

2 points na for Abe, thanks Jemifer, Beerhand, Ill try it, maybe sa serendra ko kakain, since sikat ang serendra ngayon sa balita.

wow, thanks for the detailed suggestion @Raindip, appreciate it. actually, mag fo four years na when I go home next year, kaya feeling ko, antagal ko talagang wala sa pinas, imagine, parang isang buong period ng h.s., 1st-4th year ako di nakauwi ng pinas.

ok ill try yung Bagoong, Mesa and Chickboy.

yeah, i miss din those lechon manok. oo naman, paguwi mag te take home pa kami. :hiya: food galore talaga.

thanks talaga guys ha. sana may mag suggest pa. I have 4 weeks to stay in Pinas, so marami ako buniin na days.

kung Japanese din lang, try mo katsu sets sa Yabu. they have branches is Megamall, SM Aura and Robinson's Magnolia.
  • ka_denizka_deniz PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐
kung filipino-kapampangan you won't go wrong with abe or any of LJC's restaurants like cafe adriatico, lorenzo's way and bistro remedios. if filipino ilocano, try victorino's. mesa, i would suggest apahap. bagoong club has great deconstructed okoy; and they make very good sinigang. kanin club serves great kare kare, paksiw na bangus, liver steak, of course they are known for their crispy dinuguan.

japanese? try little tokyo in makati. it's a whole compound na puro japanese retaurant. ryozen has authentic wagyu, oishindo has the biggest tempura, hana has the best takoyaki, sekitori serves chanko nabe, izakaya kikufuji has great sushi and sahimi, and everything from seryna is good.

sea food, nothing beats dampa. where can you get live seafood and have it cooked to your preference? mura pa.
  • Shangrila circle's buffet cafe.
    Banana leaf
  • You should also try new pinoy fastfood chain like Adobo Connection and Adobo Republic.

salamat ng marami sa mga input.

@ ka_deniz, appreciate the detailed tips, ok try ko lahat ng suggestions mo, I know naman highly reliable ang taste mo sa ganyan. ilista ko na lahat ng suggestion mo, little tokyo, napanood ko to sa tv, nung naga ka tsunami sa bansa nila, tapos na feature yan, thanks for reminding me.

yes sa dampa, ive tried this na, and willing to go back.

@ sis purple, Yabu, noted, ok, ill try their katsu, yung katsu and tempura dito nakakasuka, everywhere I go, masarap talaga satin, yan talaga na miss ko.

:hiya:

@Raindip, of course Ill try those Adobo's, Im excited na.

meron pa pala ko namiss, yung mga kebab and shawrma, the best din satin, may massugest kayo?

as to Vietnamese, Korean and Mexican, mukhang di nako maghanap satin, kasi common naman sa states, especially Chinese. though yung Chinese mami and noodles satin masarap, and siopao.

thanks talaga guys. i appreciate all the effort, gusto ko kasi maging memorable uwi ko, suggest pa kayo, lalo na sa buffets. though my siblings already suggested Spiral, Vikings, Buffet101, Heat and Jeepney Bar. how are your ratings for these buffet.

:hiya:
  • BeerhandBopBeerhandBop PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐
ii suggest ff moa or ff the fort. reason is, you can jog around OUTSIDE the gym for your cardio.

sa moa, you can jog beside the marina area, sa the fort, jog around the fort.. sa serendra, etc etc.

much better than running on treadmills.

ofcourse treadmills are a plenty inside the gym.

Buffets usually serve western food or some asian fusion food. If you're craving for pinoy food and nostalgic food, you won't find it there. The quality of food in buffets are low. It's for mass consumption, someone looking for quantity and not quality. Exceptions are hotel buffets. If your siblings wants to go to buffets then go. In the end, it's all about being together and having fun. Avoid Dads/Saisaki/Kamayan and Cabalen. Vikings and Buffet101 are the new players in town and they are so much better.

oo, ive to be honest, marami nakong di kilalang resto, kasi nung pasikat na yung mga buffet, nag migrate nako,

tapos nung paguwi ko naman ng 2009, ilang linggo lang ako, di ko naman na plano, kaya yung mga dati na familiar lang din ang nakainan ko, Via Mare, Ilonggo Grill, Conggo Grille, Max's, Aristocrat, and mga fastfood, tapos yung mga bbq and lechon na take out, ang bilis lang dumaan nung panahon, paalis nako, so gusto kong may itinerary ako ngayon.

naku @Raindip, kahit sabihin mo i-avoid ko, mukhang di ko ata kayang iwasan yung kamayan-saisaki-dads and Cabalen, :hiya:

mga yan naman kasi and the like ang mga nakalakihan ko nung 90s eating with my family on sundays, it may not be as good, pero sentimental and for memories sake lang.

thanks uli for the tips, my sibilings also told me, na international nga ang serving ng Manila Buffets, ok lang naman, for them naman yun, pag weekends, pero thanks sa info.

keep it coming guys. grabe, tips nyo pa lang, na excite nako.
