Brand new car and comprehensive insurance

First time purchasing a new car: Is it cheaper to go straight to insurance providers? Or better to go with the dealer's insurance?

It's usually cheaper to get on your own.

  • Hello!

I wish this message finds you in good health and happiness despite your busy schedule.

I'm conducting a survey regarding Car Insurance Policy and other Non-Life Insurance which I will use for my project study called, "Implementing Net Promoter Score Process in Selected Insurance Companies in Metro Manila". I hope you can spare a little of your time to take this survey titled "Non-Life Insurance Policy." Kindly click here . This survey can be taken in less than a minute since it consists of only four (3) questions.

Your participation in this survey is greatly appreciated! Rest assured, this will not be used for business and commercial purposes but purely personal and academic.

Thank you for helping me in this project.

    Sincerely,
  • may pros and cons..

minsan presyo ng dealer is much cheaper. pero madadali ka naman sa participation mo.

    ie...

nabanga ka. cost to fix is 50 k. you pay like 7,000 pesos as your participation fee. the remainder is shoshoulder ng insurance mo.

so yun.. anyway yung ibang insurance, medyo mahal ng konti, pero maliit lang ang participation fee mo. (say 3k)
  • I agree there would be pros and cons so it depends on your choice. In my opinion it is cheaper to get your own as there is a lot of insurance companies out there who can offer you affordable car insurance. You can compare rates if possible.
  • i agree go directly to the insurance provider.

Make sure the insurance company is accredited by the dealer. Also its better to get covered by well known insurance companies. My previous insurance isn't that liquid. They issued post dated checks to the car dealer for the payment of the repair. Also paid a large participation fee since my car was about 5 years old at that time.
