hi need help naman sa pagpili between jazz and altis. madami nako nabasa reviews and leaning towards altis nako. parehong may advantage and disadvantage pero gusto ko lang sana ng personal experience ng owners sa parehong brand. thanks

Jazz:
- nice space use and design
- fun to drive
Altis:
- more mature and solid (better suspension and insulation)
- very good prices now (I inquired a few weeks ago and discounts range from 50K to 60K).
Between the two, it really depends on your preferences and priorities. In my case, i chose the Altis since i drive out of town often (i want a bigger and solid feel) and generally i prefer Toyotas over Hondas after owning both brands through the years.0 -
thanks sa mga nag reply. last week nagpuntna kami (me and my family, 5pax) sa isang toyota dealership para mag try ng altis 1.6G kaso after trying mejo disappointed kamis since hindi comfortable umupo ang 3 persons (medium bulit) sa likod. ganun ba talaga? sa labas kasi pag tinignan parang lumaoad ang body pero sa loob pala parang mas sumikip pa compared sa lovelife na gamit namin ngayon. any comments sa altis owners? thanks0

^In most cases, 5 pax are not too comfortable in your typical compact sedans; these are best for 4 passengers. You're saying that the lovelife AE111 Corolla has more space? That's one of the smallest Corolla models built in the last 15 years.
I think the new Altis is roomier compared to the previous Corollas. Your passengers probably are not used to the contoured seats.
Slamm is correct that compact cars are really best for 4 adults. If you want comfortable space for 5 adults, get at least a mid-sized sedan like an Accord, Teana or Camry.0 -

Most likely it's the seat contour (what model?). The current Altis is nearly as long as the previous gen Camry and is the widest Corolla to date. If you want more comfort and space for 5 passengers, i agree with KILL that it's a midsize sedan that you should consider if possible.0 -
hi sir slamm at sir KILL, salamat sa mga inputs. yung 2013 altis 1.6G ang na try namin and baka nga nanibago lang sila hehe. out of budget na ang accord or camry
Libre mangarap. You can also look for a slightly used Camry.
I was quoted by Toyota Makati around P 850K for the 1.6G a/t (had to get one unit for the office).
You can also consider the base Innova if you want better space for 5pax.
BTW, if it's the Jazz 1.3L that you're looking at, it will be underpowered and your FC will suffer when you load up the a/t version.0 -

libre nga mangarap kaya pati fortuner sinakyan namin nung nagpunta kami sa toyota hehe.
actually nag try din kami ng innova, maganda at comfortable talaga pang 5pax kaso lampas din sa budget eh. sa ngayon tinitignan din namin yung honda city or lancer ex. any comments sa mga city or EX owners? thanks0 -
I have no experience with the current Lancer. Between the two, I'd still go for the Toyota. I like Mitsubishi for their work horses like the L300 FB, the Pajero and the Montero Sport. I never liked their cars so much. I owned a Lancer before and I was never happy with it. Maybe I'm wrong with the new Lancer but if I were to get another Japanese car, my choice would either be a Honda or Toyota.0

Just an off topic question, why is it called love life? It is the Toyota Corolla after 1996 (Big Body), I'm I correct? Thank you in advance.0

I think it has something to do with the Corolla ads for that model where they pushed the safety features (ABS, airbags). Puts value in life. This was the 1996 to 1997 model.0 -
^I bought mine from Toyota Manila Bay. Freebies i got on top of the discount and the usual 3M tint, matting, etc. was a free horn (FIAMM), car cover, tail pipe finisher, and back-up sensors.
When we canvass for the office vehicles, Toyota Makati also gives us the better discounts (
around 5K more than what others offer).0
