Disposing of old/junk cars

Hey dudes. I need to sell some old cars that are not in running condition.
We have a couple of cars in our garage. More than a couple, actually. Dad has a "hobby" where he buys 2nd hand cars with the intention of restoring and selling them, but never gets around to it. So now we have (at last count) 2 Mercedes, a Nissan and a Pajero, none of which are in working/drivable condition. (He may have bought more cars while I was living in Makati, I haven't checked the other house.)
On sulit there are a bunch of junk car buyers, but I don't know if they are legit or what. How much do they typically pay for a car? I do not care too much about the actual amount, but would prefer to get a good deal (not get gypped).

at this point, you just want to get rid of those cars and freeing yourself some valuable real estate space.
the nissan and pajero are far from being classics, the mercedes, unless its a gullwing.. i don't think it has any value at all.
best to just junk these cars to the highest bidder, just make sure na sila rin ang magtatangal ng sasakyan na yan. and you're good.0 -

Yeah, pretty much. I guess I'll just call those people/companies and have them bid.
Since these cars haven't been registered with the LTO in years, there shouldn't be a problem right? No paperwork (deed of sale etc.) required?0 -
the benz would be easy to dispose. just post it on the sulit. there are enthusiast looking for chase, engines, and parts. they will text you and bargain if your price is to high for them. it does not matter if the benz is not in running condition. reserve 1-3 months for the offers to accumulate and sell it to the highest offer.
a benz has a higher retail value than the SUVs. the buyers of the SUVs are only interested with the engine.
if the buyers say they are buying it as junk, they would not bother to ask for the LTO car registration.
you could also donate it to a civic group that builds artificial reefs. currently, there are two philippine artificial reef projects using junk vehicles. these are in subic and dumaguete.0 -
