NEED Help: Mazda 3 2008 Body Repair Quotation (Overpriced Ba?)

Mga sir, I need your help.

The other night naaksidente ako riding my Mazda 3 (2008 model). Bumangga ako sa likod ng nakatigil na truck sa stop light.

Wasak yung buong harapan ng kotse including hood, bumper, headlights, fender, radiator, aircon compressor, etc.

Best to have your shop give you an list of parts that need replacement then you go to Banawe to canvass the parts (try shops such as Mazford). Just let the shop do the installation and painting.

How much is the washover alone and how many weeks did he quote for this repair? A good washover is typically around P30K to 35K. Fenders, hood, lights and the bumpers should be replaced and i think the heavy part there in terms of cost is the a/c compressor and maybe the radiator.

If i may add, comprehensive insurance coverage is always worth it. Try consider to getting your car covered again; some insurance companies or insurance brokers already accept deferred payments to make the payments lighter on your monthly budget.

Ask the talyer if they will be using OEM parts. If replacements, you might have fitment issues. If I were in your shoes, I'd scout around in Banawe to look for a nose cut with hood and fenders.

Most likely the metal bar in the front part is already bent. You can use the one in the nose cut. Sell the excess parts like the projector lens, etc. With a good latero, painter, you can have your car fixed with half the price.

So long as the repair shop is good and the parts are all original, I'd say the price is ok. The thing to ask is if they are really experienced in not just body repairs but in fitting in all those parts. Some garages are only good at body work while some excel in all things mechanical or electrical. I just hope that your friend knows his way around your car to do a good job.

    Good luck man!

Front cut nalang with complete 2.3L engine, transmission, and suspension. :naughty:
