If you're not really havong too many passengers or cargo most of the times then the Innova may be too big for you at this point. Amongst your listed choices my vote goes for the Altis although chances are by late this year or next year there would be a model change already.

How about checking out a Tucson or Kia Sportage (although these are 2.0L), they may fall within striking distance of your budget, or if you want something more utilitarian, a pick-up like the Strada, Navarra or Hilux.
  • LC80, diesel, orig LHD, barako, malaki, and best of all, after you have used it for a couple of years, if ( that is if you still want to let it go) you want to sell it, will fetch you almost the same price if not more.

Getting a current model Altis isn't much of an upgrade. I think the Civic is the best choice. But if you will soon have a family, get an SUV. How about the Kia Sorento?
  • For TS choices i would choose:

    1st civic
    2nd toyota innova
    3rd altis
  • K.I.L.L.
K.I.L.L. My brain only has 512mb!

Are you planning on having kids in the next few years? Are you planning on moving in the future? Will you open a small business in the near future? If you said yes to any of these, then I would say get the Innova. The higher road clearance is something to consider as well since some parts on Edsa from QC to Makati do flood. I have a few friends who swear that the diesel variant is a miser.

M second choice would be the altis simply because I think it'd be cheaper to maintain as compared to the Honda.

Last choice would be the Honda Civic for me.

Considering the age of your Mazda and the distance you travel, 48,000 is pretty low.
  • innova *okay*
  • Mazda 3 2005 48,000.km? no kids? why do you need a new car if your current car is not that used. if I were you I'll invest the money
  • Add some 300K and get a Chevrolet Orlando. Sooner you'll have kids and you'll need bigger car.

Practicality wise, get an Innova and help our local car makers!
  • No-brainer. Hyundai Elantra (about Php800K to Php1M). Car of the Year.

Company car plan. Got my Mazda through the plan, and it's mine now.
I could refuse, but there's no cash equivalent.

Whatever I end up getting, I'll probably sell the Mazda. Don't want or need two cars. Too many cars parked at home as it is.

Hyundai Elantra? Or Santa Fe? Kaso lagpas 1M yung Santa Fe. Yung mapagbebentahan mo ng Mazda 3 mo ipangdagdag mo na lang sa DP. :glee:

How about Hyundai Hatchback crdi 1.6? Haba nga lang pila, at mataas demand today, next shipment would be march and april daw and dami naka-reserve, it may be months before maka-catchup ang supply sa demand. 899K + other gastos like insurance etc. less than 1m total.

talk about a true city driving car .... hindi pinang-roadtrip.

an 8 year old car with a very low mileage. normally, girl drivers ang may-ari ng mga cars na ganito.

I own a nissan frontier 2002, with 30,000 mileage. LOL.

We used to live in Makati CBD less than a km from the office, and only moved to QC last year.

These days my daily mileage is around 31km roundtrip. :P

magkano mo bebenta ang 2005 Mazda 3 mo?
  • I'm no longer considering an Innova. Got to spend some time in it; my wife says it feels very utilitarian.

Altis 1.6 V or Civic 1.8 E? Both models are top of the line in their respective lineups.

  • Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson & Mitsu Strada choices ko before, i end up with the Strada no regrets lots of fun driving it & peace of mind during heavy downpour diesel pa and yung diesel ng sportage & tucson kasi is way beyond my budget also it's 2 to 1 FC againts its gasoline counterpart but if you have a lot of dinero to spend on gas Sportage & Tucson is also a very good choice..plus the new generation CRV..:)

If you need more power and like a more responsive driving feel, the Civic definitely. On the other hand, the Altis is more comfortable between the two and has a more refined suspension. I'd suggest you and your better half go out and test drive both. :)
