Dont you just hate those stupid drivers that overtake in UTURN slots?

Yes another of my daily displeasure. Bakit ba may mga tao na ayaw pumila sa uturn and will suddenly change lane thus occupying the lane for those that will not take the uturn then liliko rin pala dun sa uturn. Gusto kasi nila mauna. Geez I dont know kung natata3 sila or something pero so much perwisyo sila especially dun sa mga hindi nga maguuturn nakakatraffic sila. Kaya nga yung innermost lane alloted for those na maguuturn tapos lilipat pa kayo. Kung mahaba pila sa uturn, magtiis kayo please. Wag nyong idamay sa traffic yung mga hindi maguuturn.

blame the MMDA. they designed the Uturn slots for 2 cars. this made it prone to cutting corner drivers who think they are driving in a slalom.

dapat nga 1st gear when taking the Uturn kasi you have to take caution when merging with the incoming traffic.

there are two type of accidents at the Uturn slot. collision with the incoming traffic because they came in took quick and those hitting the concrete barriers or queued cars because they are trying to cut in at break neck speed.

Problem kasi with those who take the inner lane sa u-turn, sobrang bagal. I know you are supposed to slow down, but not crawl at 3kph. There is a barrier to protect you from incoming traffic. And since its wide enough for two cars, as it was designed that way, I don't see any problem, IMO.

Hate ko yun sa southbound munoz edsa, 5 lanes mag-uuturn lahat. Ang naiwan na lang para sa diretso, yun yellow lane. Na pwede naman pala daanan ng private vehicles kahit hindi mag-raright turn. At yun iba pang puj na mag-uuturn din, balak-balak na rin, muntik-muntik na rin kainin iyon!

Last sunday naman, sa quezon avenue (?), kanto ng UST at Lacson, un isang car huminto sa second lane, mag-leleft turn pala, naabala tuloy yun car sa likod niya, hindi na nakadiretso hangang abutan na ng stoplight. Marami talaga pasaway!

bro, have ever heard of the term Right of Way and nasaan ba yun fast lane?






kahit sa slalom or F1 bawal ang overtaking sa Corners and Turns. mag-overtake ka before committing and not at the actual turning slot.

the left lane is the fast lane and has the right of way. two lanes pa la yun Uturn pero bakit may nag-cut pa rin ng inner lane.

^Here's what I do bro:
Since two lanes are allowed for u-turn, I stay on the 2nd lane and make the u-turn simultaneously with the car in the inner lane. The U turn slot in Quezon Ave can actually accommodate 3 cars.

saan sa q.ave? i know the barriers occupy atleast 3 lanes but the actual Uturn is designed for one car. yun radius wala kasi sa standard turning measurements.

kaya nga yun mga dyips hirap bumuwelo. pag may kasabay kang dyip automatic na yang cutting corner. sa second lane sila kumukuha ng buwelo.

Some U-turn slots have markings which allow for two (or even three) lanes depending on the volume of traffic and road width. If the vehicle is obviously cutting the line then what i do is i delay my U-turn by a few more meters and this forces the offending/cutting vehicle to move down further and miss his turning or "cutting" point.

Maraming ganito bro pero hindi namn lahat, naku po, kapag mag-uuturn ididikit ang oto sa center island tapos pihit ng manibela ang nangyayari malaki ang turning radius nya pagdating sa kabila, eh medyo swapang din ang nasa kabilang side na mga sasakyan ayaw magbigay kaya ang nangyayari ilang minuto muna ang lilipas bago sya tuluyang makaalis sa u-uturn(kadalasan C-5 u-turn slot ganito ang sistema). Humahaba tuloy ang pila ng mga nag-uuturn. Yung ibang nabubusit kinukuha sa second lane tapos papasukan din sa unahan ng u-turn...

Kapag mag-uuturn kasi agwatan nyo na ang center island para pagkabig eh pasok agad sa kabilang side ng kalsada... susmeyo....

Just confirmed it awhile ago. U-Turn Slots in Quezon Ave have 2 lanes, going in and going out. Ideally, two cars can make a U-Turn simultaneously.

My tip for cars taking the inner lane, make the most out of you the limited space. If all cars stay on their lane throughout the U turn, that would lessen the bottle neck and ease traffic flow.

Ginagawa ko yan kasi mas madali for me ang pag u-turn kesa kung andun ako sa inner lane. Tutal yun naman ang design niya, I am just trying to make the most out of it.

Isa pang badtrip yung nakapila kayo sa lane niyo tapos biglang sa dulo, may lilipat sa lane niyo coming from the side na mabilis ang flow nang traffic.

Example yung bandang magallanes, northbound - sa right side, may overpass, sa left naman, yung way na papuntang osmena or pasay. Mahaba pila minsan yung paakyat nang overpass(yung overpass na pagbaba mo eh magallanes mrt station), so yung iba, sa left side kukunin pagdating sa dulo, kakanan. [email protected] nakakabwisit din talaga minsan eh, hindi lang yung sisingit, pati yung sisingit.
