    Hi to all,

I'm a new member and I enjoy reading everybody's HK trips. We are going to HK on early April. I'm travelling w/ my wife and 2 kids.

I need advice on my Itinerary. Here's what I prepared:

    Day 1

    -Arrive HK ETA 10AM
-Hotel Check-In (Asia Travel Guest House via. Booking.com)
-TST and Avenue of the Stars
    -Ladies Market

    Day 2

    -Lantau Island/ NP 360
    -Giant Buddah/ Po Lin Monastery
    -Disneyland (Leave after Fireworks Display)
    -Temple Street Night Market

    Day 3

-Chi Lin Nunnery/ Nan Lian Gardens
-Ding ding Tram Experience (Admiralty to Cenral)
-Open Top Bus Experience (Bus 15C)
    -Peak Tram Experience
    -Madam Tussaud
    -Sky Terrace
    -Ferry Experience (Central to TST)
    -TST

    Day 4

-Ocean Park (Leave OP by 5PM)
-Flight back to Manila (Our flight is 1055PM)

    Question/s:

    1. Is it possible to combine NP 360 and Disneyland in the afternoon? Mae-enjoy kaya ang 5 hrs stay sa Disney since my kids are already 13 and 16 years old?

    2. How to go back to HK Airport from OP? Ilan hours po ang biyahe?

    3. In MTR, Is it a long walk when you transfer from different line to other lines in MTR? We are transfering in Lai King Station going to Tung Chung, and in Sunny Hill Station going to Disney, etc.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

More power to this Site. c",)

Move Ngong Ping to Day 3 so you can spend a whole day in Disneyland just to be sure. Regardless if this is a weekday or weekend. Start Day 3 early with Nanlian then Ngong Ping then Peak.

Last day go back to the hostel to retrieve your luggage from OP. Leave hostel by 7PM, dinner at the airport.

    3. It depends but for those interchange, no.

Nagextend ba kayo ng 1 day? Bakit last time 4 days lang?

7PM is too early to arrive at Macau airport. 8PM kayo dumating kasi wala magawa diyan at wala rin makainan. Kahit nga 830PM pwede pa rin eh.

BTW, the malls in Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay are just as crowded as Mongkok. How to know if it's a mainlander?

I never thought that Discovery Bay is quite that good place to visit.

Most of the places I went to in Mongkok I already visited last November but that was a very hurried trip. Now I had the time to take down "notes" about the places I went to.

Traveling alone really gets more accomplished. I would have needed a week to cover the same places if I was traveling with other people.

There's nothing particular to see in DB, just the super laidback way of life. Parang wala ka sa HK. Coupled with the perfect cool weather, ang sarap tumambay doon. I can stay there the entire day if time permitted.

Doon lang sa may Star Ferry pier. Near the tourism office. May mga arrows and signage naman. They have their own booth that says Star Ferry Harbour Tour.

Get off outside Bank of China Tower or HSBC Tower in Central. Use Google Maps.

Siguro mga 20 or less lang kami.

For those worrying about the visa, it's not even in their local news.

Whenever you hear a rumor, check the HK immigration website first.

We're currently here at Disneyland. Super daming tao kahit monday. I was actually expecting na konti na tao. 1 hour waiting line sa mga rides :( I dont know if this is the normal volume of people visiting disneyland on a weekday or baka dahil sa chinese new year.

Will post complete trip report when we get back. Yan na muna for now :)

Take the DB ferry from Central Ferry Pier 3 (around $30+ one way so make sure you really want to go there just to unwind and relax). Sa upper deck kayo para open air.

The ferry docks at DB pier which is right beside DB Plaza. There are restaurants, coffee shops, groceries and places to hang out. There are free shuttles to DB North Plaza every 30 minutes or you can take bus C4/C9 for $4, mas maraming lugar doon para umupo at mag "picnic". You can get food from the grocery or from wherever and just eat there al-fresco.

There's nothing in particular to see. It's more of the community, the people, the lifestyle. Ito yung tinatawag nila na people watching and watching the world go by.

Before boarding the ferry you can head to the IFC mall rooftop first. Another hidden gem.

Going back to Central pwede kayo magferry ulit or take bus DB01R to Tung Chung Station if you will go to Ngong Ping or Citygate afterwards.

Thanks for this, Commoner. Medyo nasawa ako sa usual city life in HK kaya I really wanted to explore other locations. Last year, I visited Clearwater Bay and Sai Kung which I really loved. Discovery Bay is a must-see and pretty excited for my trip there.

I read in the Discovery Bay website that if you spend at least HKD$120 on any of their participating restaurants, you would get the ferry ride back to Central for free :) *okay**okay*

Kumusta sa Citygate Outlet? There are just two stores na binabalikan ko dyan kasi mas mura talaga. The Body Shop and Pedder Street. i am "blessed" with big feet kaya pabor sa akin sa Pedder Street :rotflmao:. Top signature shoewear for ladies but they would often put the big sizes on sale. Anyway, kung expensive mag-shop at this time of the year, i can skip it since I'll be back naman ng July for the summer sale.:naughty:

Prada... I read in a blog that Prada Outlet is in Stanley Market. Hmmmm.

    Anyhoo, salamat ulit, Commoner! :)
