Brand New or Pre Owned for your 1st Car. Manual or Automatic? What did you guys do?

Hi Guys, I'm an old member of PEX but I am new to this category of PEX. I have not really decided on this purchase yet, so I hoped you could help and share to me what you guys did when you made your 1st purchase. I would have decided this month but I postponed it to 1st quarter next year. Have spent reading car reviews recently to help me decide.

If it's your first car, would you buy brand new or pre owned? Would you go for manual or automatic?
Would you go for a sedan, a compact car, SUV?

I would appreciate it if you can suggest a "beginner" car for a 1st time owner.

Too many factors to consider. But ask yourself these questions:
1) Whats your driving experience? Like how long have you been driving or how have you had a license? Does your license allow you to drive a manual or automatic only?
2) Brandnew vs used: Do you have the money to buy brand new?
3) Do have any experience with cars or at least a motorcycle? Like do you at least know how to change a flat tire?
4) Whats your daily route like? How much gas money can you afford?

I went for the brand new. Baka 1st week of Jan or 2nd week ko makukuha.

I got a Toyota.

Since i dont have that muck knowledge with cars, i went with a common and trusted brand. Its a necessity for me. I needed a car that will take me from here to there. Hindi na ako nag 2nd hand. Hindi ko kata ang hassle ng maintenance
