    Check you AC system first. Baka overcharged or undercharged or just simply binding na yung compressor, kaya hirap yung engine.

    I agree here. It seems to be something related to your A/C system adding a heavy load to your engine. Start here first.

    Another possibility is that the engine idle speed is not compensating for the added load of the A/C (idle up?). Not familiar with Honda engines so i cannot say what part that is.
  • @ S' JoeyD, how will i know if over/under charge sya? another thing is that prang may frequency yung pag vibrate nya, minsan tumataas *** rpm nya, then pag bumaba, dun nahihirapan yung engine..

    @S'Slamm, i dont know if merong idle up yung efi kagaya ng carb type. base po sa experience nyo meron ba syang manual adjustment?

    Sir, pa check mo sa trusted ac shop mo. You mean intermittent? Gaano kadalas? If ang cycle niya is on for a couple of minutes then off a couple of minutes then normal lang yun na cycle ng ac. but if just a few seconds lang then there is problem with your ac.

    Not familiar with the idle-up system of the honda. Pero kung maigsi ang time on and off (similar to my cousin's honda) ang expert diagnosis is nag high pressure agad yung ac system so the pressure sensing switch cuts the compressor off, then bababa ulit yung pressure so on again with just a few seconds in between and so on. Ang naging remedy nila is to change filter/drier, expansion valve, also checked the condenser and evap para siguradong walang bara. This is just on the AC side though. You have to solve the problem through elimination.
  • Di kaya madumi ang servo (kung meron man ang Honda)?
  • Boss Joeyd, thanks.. seconds lang yung pagitan. papacheck ko sa ac shop..:)
  • its not normal kapag *** idle mo bumababa pag nag on ang A/C. dapat tataas pa sya ng konti due to the load. i think madumi lang *** servo mo. try to clean it first before mo pa check sa A/C shop.

    HTH
  • the gauge of car tachometer should not go below its standard idling rpm when the AC is on even if the car is not moving.

    it should stay between the 1 and 2 lines. anything lower will cause the engine to rumble. mararamdaman mo yun pagiba ng garalgal ng makina lalo kapag ikaw yun may hawak ng manibela.

    another solution is have the spring behind the gas pedal checked and recalibrated. maaring kulang kasi yun gasolina na pumapasok sa makina.

    for initial personal check up try this:
    • drive the car around without AC;
    • stop, do not leave your hand off the stringwheel;
    • check the RPM while it is idle and listen to any vibration;
    • run the car again with the AC turned on;
    • again stop without taking off your grip off the stringwheel;
    • watch if the rev counter drops below normal;
    • if it drops, the engine should compensate and pickup the rpm in less than a minute;
    • if it does not compensate, you will now feel the rumblings or the vibrations;
    • slightly step on gas pedal until the rpm gauge returns to normal;
    • release the accelerator and check if the rev drops again;
    • if it falls again, schedule a car checkup and have the idling fixed.

    p.s. during the checkup, it is better to have a drive around to show the mechanic the actual problem.
