Guys,
First time ko bibili ng kotse. Good buy na to diba?

The price is good, especially if it's been maintained well and had no major accidents. The 1.3L Sentra is underpowered compared to the other 1.3s given it has a larger body (against the lighter Vios and City) but this translates to pretty good comfort on the highway. Minor bolt-ons such as replacing the intake with a free-flow filter like a K&N and adding headers helps improve the power a bit. Mataas lang ang mileage niya at 100,000kms+ and it's an 08 model (meaning more than 25,000kms per year ang takbo niya). If it's mostly highway driving then that fine; try mo itawad pa up to 180K para good buy na talaga.
A tip also is to clean the MAF sensor of the QG engine regularly with electric contact cleaner (every 10,000kms). This part is quite sensitive to dirt and affect performance quite much. It's the sensor that's located right after the airbox; you just have to access it and spray contact cleaner into the MAF housing (don't touch the inside/ sensor hotwire as this is sensitive and pricey to replace). If you test drive the car and feel it's having a hard time revving over 4000rpm while accelerating hard, a dirty MAF sensor is the usual culprit.
Nissans are actually good second hand buys as these are good, sturdy cars and the low resale value makes them quite affordable. We've had several Nissans (both brand new and second hand) and we've never regretted owning them (and have regretted selling some of them).0 -
yup good deal na yan, yes tama ka underpower pero malamig at comportable ang Nissan. maganda naman ang Nissan Sentra matibay and stable. hindi nga lang maporma.0

Mura yan for 2008. Kasi even for sentra yang 200k usually model 1999-2003 yan not 2008. Anyways siguro kaya mura kasi nga kamag-anak mo.
Sentra is a good car. That is almost 15 years as taxi (hindi ko alam kung paano naextend ang franchise). Nissan sa pilipinas is underrated IMHO.

1. Automatic transmission vehicles use a torque converter which eats up more power as compared to a conventional transmission.
2. Gear ratios of the a/t transmission are different due to having one gear less (at least with the 4-speed auto).
Mga 6-7km/L ata consumption ng 1.3 a/t na Sentra due to the weight.0 -
6-7km per liter lang ang sentra? Pag vios ba ano average?0

I agree here. It's basically the body weight penalty of the N16 Sentra that makes for it's poorer than expected FC.
LPG is another option if you can spare the change for a good LPG kit (around 40K+). If you use the car for 15,000kms or more yearly, in less than two years bawi na yan.0
