tonton Let's stop and talk awhile.
1. Do you believe Jesus/God will grant you all your requests to him?

2. Are you willing to be really poor financially, as in iskwater?

3. Are you willing to cut off your d1ck if it causes you to sin?

If you answered "no" to any of the questions, then you are a cherry picker. :naughty:

I answered NO to all of your questions most specially on #3.....so what if I'm a cherrypicker? at least I would have my d1ck intact to pr1ck on cherries :glee:

    No. Read James for starters:

    James 4:3
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

But you're just going to say we're cherry picking because you're going to take what Jesus said and take it out of context like "whatever ye ask in my name that will I do," and "ask and ye shall receive" aren't you?

Muslim apologists like you really are hypocrites. I wonder what you'll feel if I'll cite the Hadiths and Qurans regarding the treatment of unbelievers and women. :naughty:

Where does it say we are to be poor financially and become ascetics?

    Proverbs 30:8
Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:

Taking the verse out of context again? Do you even know figures of speech?

Nope. It does show you have a reading comprehension problem and you should probably go back to grade school to re-learn your English courses.

Clearly a cherry picker. The old "figure of speech" excuse when convenient.

    Jesus said in Matthew 7:16
You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

So are people literally going to sprout fruits out of their bodies in order to know what they really are? Oh wait, there's also that verse in Psalms where it says that "God is a fortress. He is a rock." Are you going to look for a literal rock and fortress in Israel also?

Sorry that you do not understand what you are reading but it's not the Christian's fault that you lack reading comprehension. Do you want me to translate them for you in the kiddy version so you'll understand better?

You just cherry picked, and you don't know it? Hahaha..

Sabi nga ni Jesus WHATEVER ye ask..... in my name I WILL DO IT.

    What you just did:
    Ignored the word "whatever".

And the phrase, "I will do it."

Amen? Ultimately, you put the entire verse into oblivion and chose another, not even spoken by Jeeeezes himself! Akala ko pa naman Jeeezes is the "perfecter" of your faith pero kung kani kanino ka kumukuha ng verses! Hahahaha..:naughty:
Muslim apologists like you really are hypocrites. I wonder what you'll feel if I'll cite the Hadiths and Qurans regarding the treatment of unbelievers and women. :naughty:

Amen praise the lord brotha!! ALLAHUAKBHAR KABOOM!!!
Where does it say we are to be poor financially and become ascetics?

    Proverbs 30:8
Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:

Hahaha... as usual, initsapuwera nanaman si Jeeeezes.

Basahin mo 'tong sermon ko sayo para matuto ka naman bata!!

Why is it that many Christians strive to be rich and call themselves devoted to the Lord? Because, the CHERRY PICK!!

    The Lord said:
And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

    Amen?

    Pero sabi din ni Jeeezas.
With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Christians still have hope! A hope that I can compare to like hoping to win the lottery or something. The odds of being killed by a terrorist are greater.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal:

Huwag daw mag-ipon ng kayamanan. Yung pera mo sa bangko paano na?

    at heto pa..
    Luke 21

1 And he looked up, and saw the rich men that were casting their gifts into the treasury.

2 And he saw a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.

3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, This poor widow cast in more than they all:

4 for all these did of their superfluity cast in unto the gifts; but she of her want did cast in all the living that she had.

Amen? Ikaw magkano binibigay mo sa pastor mo? Sampu? Bente? Isandaan? Isang libo?? Ano yan barya??! Kulang yan!!

Ito pa!! Sandali a... magsesearch muna ako ng word "poor" sa bible.

    hmmm....O ito na..
    Luke 6:20
And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed are ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. Amen??!!

Imbis na magpakahirap kayo, nagpapayaman pa kayo!!

But as sure as the sun rises tomorrow and as sure as alaskador will insult Allah and Muhammad within the week, you will say, OUT OF CONTEXT!! YOU DISTORT THE VERSES!! HYPOCRITE!!:lol:

Taking the verse out of context again? Do you even know figures of speech?

Nope. It does show you have a reading comprehension problem and you should probably go back to grade school to re-learn your English courses.

Ayan na nga ba sinasabi ko eh. Hanggang "out of context" ka nalang ba at "figure of speech"? Opo.. hanggang dun lang.

    BASA!!!!!!!!!
    Matthew 18:9

9 And if thine eye causeth thee to stumble, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is good for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the hell of fire.

Is that literal or a mere figure of speech? I say literal.

Because if you are a peeping Tom, its better for you to pluck your eyes out than having perfect sight and to suffer eternal torment in hell forever and ever amen.

Doctors perform amputations to prevent infection from spreading throughout the body.

But no, you avoid the words of Jesus like the Black Plague. I can name more verses that you avoid faster than you can say, "out of context!!" "figure of speech!!"

What does that prove? You don't believe and love Jesus. You are a "cherry picker". <-- yan ang figure of speech.

Pag nabasa ni Pareng Frank 'to puputaktihin ka nanaman niya ng insulto.
  • I can see tonton having a hard time breathing as he's trying his hardest not to show his rage with his string of "hahahaha"s in this thread

And yet you conveniently ignored the succeeding verse:
If you love me, keep my commandments
    John 14:15
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
    Romans 13:8-10

Like I said, I am sorry if you don't understand what you're reading or that you've been brainwashed by your imam during your time spent in the Middle East when you were an OFW, but it's not really the Christian's fault that you are so easily brainwashed by some pamphlets from Muslims then decided, "Hey look at this. HOW COULD I HAVE BEEN SO WRONG?! THOSE CHRISTIANS LIED TO ME! HOW EVIL!" because you lack the necessary skills to comprehend what you're reading.

You do realize that does not contradict the verse I gave regarding proverbs.

    Proverbs 30:8-9
Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the LORD?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.

Not being rich =/= you should be poor

Since we've already concluded you have reading comprehension problems, maybe it's time you took my advice and started retaking your english courses?

Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

From the same chapter that you gave. That is not a command to be poor, that is a command to seek God first rather than riches. It's telling us where our priorities should lie. Do you really just regurgitate what you see from anti-christian and pro-muslim websites?

Here is a similar application when it comes to controversial matters on how a soldier should treat his life in Sparta:

    Poetae Lyrici Graeci
"it is said that in battle, men "must count his own life his enemy for the honor of Sparta"

Does that mean that soldiers should kill themselves instead of the enemy because they should count their own lives as the enemy? If that were the case there would be no 300 to re-enact and no poetry about the defense made by the brave 300 soldiers in Greece. The more you respond, the more I am convinced you really do have problems reading and is just responding gibberish.

LAY NOT TREASURES ON EARTH. Ay ok lang wag lang sobra. Ganon ba??:rotflmao:

Yes, back up to make me laugh more because of your CHERRY PICKING WAYS. I love the way he tears you up and magnify your simple mind. Amen??

    Very clear conclusion:

Acer9000 is a cherry picker. Claims to believe in Jesus but in reality picks only those he likes and avoids those he dislikes and makes flimsy excuses not to follow them. He gives another meaning LAY NOT TREASURES UPON THE EARTH. What other meaning he gives it to favor his lifestyle is borne out of hypocrisy.

FYI, kung talagang believer ka, hindi mo gagawing parang buhok ang biblia na tatanggalan mo ng kuto. It's either you swallow the whole of it or not at all.

Yan ang estado ng pananampalataya ngayon.

Oh gee, I wonder what "If you love me, do my commandments mean?" Or what about "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." What is ironic here is you said this:
It's either you swallow the whole of it or not at all.
Bakit mo nilalait ang religion ni Mani at Bani? Wala silang kinalaman dito! At pati ako dinadamay mo sa relihiyon nila. Nalilito ka ano??!

Contradicting yourself? Well I can't blame you. You have no solid arguments in this thread. I'm sorry that things are not going your way, but that's what happens when 10 year olds can form better arguments than you.

    tonton wrote: »

Ano yan, joke lang ni jeeeezas?? Ayaw mo talagang sundin ano?? Hahahahaha!!!

Here is the whole verse which you conveniently left out:

    Matthew 6:19-21
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

And here is the conclusion of the matter:

    Matthew 6:25-33
"Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Maybe Jesus said this and simplified it because He knew someone who is a former Christian turned Muslim when he went to the Middle East as an OFW but with massive comprehension problems in RoT would not be able to understand.

    Uy nagpapacute ka ha.

Oh gee, I wonder what "If you love me, do my commandments mean?" Or what about "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." What is ironic here is you said this:

What does WHATEVER mean? How many times have I asked you that?

Contradicting yourself? Well I can't blame you. You have no solid arguments in this thread. I'm sorry that things are not going your way, but even 10 year olds can form better arguments than you.

Are you clutching at straws? Pati kung religion ko pinoproblema mo. Gawa ka ng separate thread dyan!

Maybe Jesus said this and simplified it because He knew someone who is a former Christian turned Muslim when he went to the Middle East as an OFW but with massive comprehension problems in RoT would not be able to understand.

What does LAY NOT TREASURES ON EARTH really mean to you? That IT'S OK TO LAY UP TREASURES ON EARTH? Ano ba talaga?

Why are you throwing up verses which are irrelevant to the subject matter? I am clueless of your logic, or lack of it.

Grasping at straws at this point? I don't blame you, you have no arguments in this thread but "hahaha"s and "Jeeezas", right? :naughty:

A person who is against christ is ANTI- Christ, right? You are against Christ by avoiding him.

Why do you avoid WHATEVER YOU ASK?

Why do you refuse to acknowledge that LAY NOT TREASURES ON EARTH is a commandment of Jeeeezes?

Why do you do the opposite of what he tells you to do?? Because you are a hypocrite. Amen?
Which proves again you took the verse out of context. Try not shooting your own foot when arguing.

Because it shows you have a big comprehension problem. The point of that was to show that figures of speech and poetic language was frequently used outside the bible and in secular sources. Why are you evading this? Is it because I showed you were wrong?

Yes, back to topic. Let's see where you went wrong:

    Tonton:
Is that literal or a mere figure of speech? I say literal.

    Bisto ba?

You can always conveniently pick up figures of speech from the sea of literature around the world and compare it to what Jeeeeezes said.

That 'figure of speech' excuse of yours is one big filler to fill up a huge gaping black hole in your belief.

Jeeezes' words about that were very clear.

But for a CHERRY PICKER like yourself, you will attribute just about ANYTHING...and I mean ANYTHING, just to avoid the literal meaning which you are so uncomfortable of.

You've got no arguments left at this point don't you? Don't worry, we'll give you another chance to think things through. For now, relax and tend to your wounds and think of some better ad hominems too while you're at it. You try too hard in acting like Frank_Macky :naughty:

Thanks for making it clear you don't have anything going for you right now. Yes, call for back up. You really have to at this point when nothing's going your way.

Ako pa ang walang arguments...wawa ka naman. Eh obvious na obvious naman na namimili ka lang kung ano paniniwalaan.

Ano ang ibig sabihin ng WHATEVER? Ayaw mo sagutin.

Ano ang ibig sabihin ng LAY NOT TREASURES ON EARTH? Yung verse na binigay mo lalo pa nga pinagtibay ang argumento ko.

25 Therefore I say unto you, be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment?

26 Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye of much more value then they?

27 And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto the measure of his life?

28 And why are ye anxious concerning raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29 yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31 Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

lolwut? Sige nga, explain yourself. Where does a Christian avoid Christ when He prays in His name? You do realize that is what the verse says, right? To pray in His name right? And that you should follow His commandments when you pray in His name right? Contrary to your claims, here is what other passages of the bible says:

    John 9:31
We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly man who does his will.

    And considering you said this:

A Christian will always put God first rather than money. That's not the opposite of what He says. I know we have already deduced you have comprehension problems but I'll give you some examples how that works. I'll help you out here and throw you a bone since I know you're already hurting inside:
I will never prostitute women to earn more money.
I will never sell people into slavery to earn more money.
I will never steal in order to earn more money.
I will never corrupt my way into government to earn more money.
I will never cheat to earn more money.
I would rather work honestly than deceitfully just to earn for my family.

I'm really sorry that our public education in the Philippines failed you, rendering you incapable of understanding simple English sentences and that you were brainwashed by an imam in the Middle East, but I hope some of these examples help.

So what weight does those verses carry against my argument? NONE. It favors mine, and definitely not yours as I have explained.
I am clueless as to how you can fudge up understanding of simple English sentences

Because you are blinded by your religion, that's why.

    What exactly did Jesus say?

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask anything in my name, that will I do.

Where did he say that if you follow my commandments I will grant your prayers?

He said, If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments.

One explanation isn't enough for you? I have given you verses that you avoid like the black plague. Uulitin ko nanaman?

Uulitin ko ang tanong ko.. What does WHATEVER mean?

What priority are you talking about? It's either you LAY NOT TREASURES ON EARTH, or your not following him. It's as simple as that!

I will never sell people into slavery to earn more money.
I will never steal in order to earn more money.

    1 Timothy 6:10-11
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

    Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

    1 John 2:3
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

    Romans 13:8-10
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

So, any other arguments other than the pamphlets your Muslims Imam gave you?
