47-Year-Old Bosnian Muslim Walks 5,900 KM on Pilgrimage to Mecca

Walking thousands of miles through six countries on foot, a 47-year-old Bosnian Muslim has finally reached the holy city of Makkah to fulfil his life-time dream of performing hajj.

I wanted to perform Hajj but I had no money, Senad Hadzic was quoted as saying.

I decided to walk to Saudi Arabia, having only 200 euros.

Aspiring to perform hajj, Hadzic started his lengthy trip from his hometown Banovici in northern Bosnia in December.

During his journey, the Muslim man walked for nearly 3,600 miles (5,900 km) on foot from his Bosnian village to the holy city of Makkah.

Covering between 12 to 20 miles a day, Hadzic managed to cross six countries, including Turkey, Jordan and Syria before entering Saudi Arabia this week.

In his back bag, he carried his copy of the Noble Quran wrapped in plastic to protect it from weather elements.

He also carried a bible, maps and flags of the six countries he plans to cross.

What an under-achiever! Hindu sadhus make similar walks throughout the length of India into the mountains of the Himalayas in pilgrimage. And they do it totally nude.

So this is how Filipino atheists apparently act towards their fellow man who is sincere in his faith and has done them no harm. At pinagtatiyaga pa nila na hindi sila nag-didiscriminate ng kapwa tao. Pwe! Mga ipokrito.

He was actually trying to insult me by insinuating that I could be a call-center agent. It did not affect me as I am not, but he ended up insulting call-center agents who are important members of our economy and really talented people.

I also find that cc agent remark uncalled for. They are at the other end of the line for the different services we ourselves had subscribe to. No one among us wanted to talk to a machine when we wanted a good service, right? And beside, when you were con by the service provider, how are you going to let your rage out if you knew you are talking to a machine

Pfft, spare me the drama and your crocodile tears of empathy when you're nothing more than an atheist. The point of the post is that the people mocking the muslim for travelling to Mecca for thousands of miles on foot have done nothing special in their lives but is just another automaton in society doing mundane things. It could be call center agents, ordinary employees, business owners or the unemployed.

If the point of the post flew above your head, then I was justified in calling out the intelligence of atheists inhabiting RoT in one of my threads.
