Catholic Forum bans discussion on Atheism

For the foreseeable future, there shall be no discussion in the Philosophy Forum of evolution or atheism. Anyone who starts such a thread or revives an old thread on those topics will be banned. This ban is planned to be temporary, but there are to be no public or private petitions that the ban be lifted. It will be lifted only when the mod (yours truly) discerns that the atmosphere in this forum has sufficiently cooled.
Pati ako banned just because I created a thread about Believing in God but not in Religion! Alam nyo naman ang bait bait ko! sarap ng discussion nung friday gulpi mga opponents! tapos pagbalik ko ngayon deleted yung thread at account ko suspended- with a corny reasoning: for using proxy server daw!
Ganyan talaga catholic leadership. ala hitler! if they cant beat you, they will make you disappear
ok lang. i had my fun. it all the more proves why religion is to be opposed.

I'm curious though, just how heated were the arguments that they felt they had to ban it? Debates can naturally get heated, and that is precisely why having them just online is probably a wise idea. Were the mods especially thin-skinned? Or was it really because the non-theists were getting the upper-hand in terms of winning arguments?0 -

I just noticed that the ban was in effect since 2009. They never lifted it up. 0 -

I told you these religious types smoke their own type of crack.
Also, I find it interesting that it is a Catholic forum and yet they shirk away from discussion of evolution?0 -
