public or government employee (teacher) traveling abroad

Hi, tanong ko lang kung pwede bang lumabas ng bansa ang guro kahit wala siyang authority to travel permit issued by the dep-ed or head of their respective school or district during school days?

I am a public school teacher and I have traveled twice and in both trips, I didn't have the authority to travel but I didn't put public school teacher in the immigration card. I think as long as you travel during summer time and you just put teacher on the form, walang magiging problema. But of course, don't show your school id or any government IDs(gsis especially), pwede na yung tin or prc.

Stay calm kapag tatanungin ka, like for me, I traveled March 27, the IO (at naia) asked me kung bakit wala nang pasok, sabi ko lang, graduation day namin nung 25 ad mabait ang principal ko kaya pinayagan akong umalis.

And just show your TIN id.

same goes with my mother...nag-travel kami abroad last year, she works in a water concessionaire sa province...napasabi ako na yung company na pinapasukan ng mommy ko ay sa government, tapos sabi ng IO na nanghihingi siya ng authorization letter sa mommy ko, pero in the end, sabi ng mommy ko na private yung company na pinapasukan ko (which in reality, isa siyang government controlled corporation). and we travelled outside the PH. :)

Government employees are required to have a travel authority when they go out of the country.

I mean, the school doesnt know that i am traveling.

Medyo hassle kasi humingi ng permit to travel. Again thank you.

Better request for a travel authority from DepEd or your district head, if the authority to issue said document has been delegated to the latter. Sa agency namin, mahigpit. In fact, may kinasuhan kami for travelling abroad without authority.

Pero kung mapilit ka pa rin, don't declare to the IO that you work for the government. Anyone can send a report to your HR or to the Ombudsman.

Kung close ka sa principal mo, pwede kang mag local arrangement, meaning, ask someone to fill in for you or sub.

Uhm, hindi kami close ng principal ko eh...ahehe... i mean, it will be complicated if she knows.

wala bang database or records ang immigration? like sa mga public officials, govt employees, people with criminal records, people with pending cases.

Yung may criminal records/pending cases, may database yun.

Then again, kung kilalang government official, malamang maimpluwensya yun at siguradong lusot sa Immigration with or without a travel authority.

Hi! My friends and I were planning to travel abroad this october, some of us are public school teachers however I was afraid that the division office will not issue a travel order since our travel period is still part of the official school days. Any opinion about this matter is highly appreciated. Thanks.
