    go team philippines!!!
  • hmmm.... right now we're 6th: 3-8-9 medals. we need more golds!
  • Hey!!!

Bakit de kasali ang mens football sa SEA Games this year?
Anyone knows the real reason...womens lang ang meron???

    :)
  • Ang tindi ng host Malaysia, nakaka-23 golds na! Philippines still 6th with 4 golds. More! more! more! Go! Go! Go!

    go TEAM PHILIPPINES!
  • Our Gold Medal production should pick up the pace!!!

Congratulations to our karatekas, wushu wonder kids, and taewondo jins for contributing to our 6 gold haul in the first two days of competition.

I hope the bowlers, equestriennes, billiard kings, basketball cagers, golfers and martial artists can produce more golds.

We need to overtake Vietnam and pull away from Singapore in order to be assured of the fourth place. Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia will really slug it out for the top 3 although Malaysia seems to be pulling away rapidly.

The fabled Indonesia-Thailand rivalry will be relegated to the determination of the second place.
  • mejo malayo ang standing ng Philippines sa Malaysia with 25 golds already...tapos tayo single-digit pa rin sa gold...but i am very hopeful that we would make it kahit pang-third lang. *okay*

:flamer: Congrats sa mga nkakuha ng gold sa Karatedo, Takwondo!!! we're so proud of You!!!
  • resulta nung first day nang labanan

    2-8-9 gold-silver-bronze

Pawang bronze naman ang nakayanan lang nina fencer Rolando Canlas sa men’s foil, bowler Irene Garcia, karatekas Maricar Rimando sa 53 kg., women’s air pistol team at ang men’s cycling team a 4 km team pursuit sa pangunguna ni 1996 Tour ng Pilipinas champion Victor Espiritu.(NI ALEX MINO)

    Go Team PHILIPPINES!

5th place na ata ang Philippines,. right?
  • thehitmanthehitman PEx Veteran ⭐⭐
Philippines has now tied Vietnam for fourth place. The 40 golds are, I think, out of the question, but it may still be possible to finish decently. The cagers just whipped the Thais, 94-65, so assuming Malaysia plays as advertised, the basketball gold is ours. Hmm, the Vietnamese coach was a bit prophetic when he said that no team can come within 30 points of the Philippines. Thailand was closest at 29, but they are already the second best team (or so I think. The Indons upset the Thais the other day, I think). The team is just wary of the non-basketball people because the Philippines last lost to the Malaysian squad way back 1989 when all types of harassments were experienced by the team.

    GO PINOY!
  • In every sporting event of this magnitude athletics and swimming are the sports which all of us must take a second look for in this two event alone there are about 90+++ gold medal at stake!, and sad to say in this year sea games the philippine swimming team was nothing but chickens!!!!! they could not even salvage a gold!? as far as i know we are a nation surrounded by water and filipinos generally love water!!!! and so it came as a big surprised to me that for the past two editions of the games we could not even grab a solitary gold!!!!!HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?????

As for the track team it was a happy finished!, being 2nd overall behind thailand! overtaking malaysia and surprising everybody with an outstanding performance that even ECLIPSED THEIR RECORD WHEN THE GAMES was held here in manila 10 yrs. ago!...HATTS OFF TO YOU PEOPLE AND TO YOUR CHIEF MR. GO TENG KOK!!!!

As for the 5th place finish i cant believe that the philippines who at one point in time were the most feared athlete in asia has dropped to this VERY SORRY STATE! judging from what we saw on a crazy coverage of channel 4!!!   the problem was not only in our officials but to athlete themselves!, some could have won if only they have given more specially in swimming!!!!!!!and to see post war torn VIETNAM overtaking us in fourth was really SOMETHING ELSE!!!

wala na pagasa RP sports! MGA BUGOK KASI ANG MGA NAMAMAHALA!!!!!

And please they should not always blame funding as a debacle hey COMMON!! VIETNAM IS NOT THAT RICH!, we are even prosperous than them but when you look at the record Vietnam is the only country in the region whos sports program are moving in the direction they are setting!!!!TAYO WALA UMUUSOD PABALIK SA KAWALAN!!!!

Nakakahiya na talaga!!!!!!!at tingnan nyo nalang yung facilities sa tv coverage kuno ng channel-4!!!??? very big and conducive for producing gold medals DITO SA ATIN AYUN SA AWA NG DYOS YUN PARIN PRE-WAR VINTAGE NA RIZAL MEMORIAL KAWAWA NAMAN MGA ATLETA SANA MAY MGA GENEROUS NA ATENEAN NA MAG DONATE NAMAN SA PHILIPPINE SPORTS!!!!!! BAKA PAG TAYO NA ANG HOST DOON PARIN SA BULOK AS IN BULOK NA RIZAL MEMORIAL NAKAKAHIYA NA TALAGA!!!! :(
