Don't park it unattended in the street. Make sure you have a steering wheel lock and a redundant gas pedal lock.

Plus Alarm na matino like Viper or something

Tsaka tama yung replies above. Magpark ka sa safe place, and lagi mo icheck kotse mo kung nandun pa sa pinark mo. and lastly, Never leave any valuable things on your car.

Two words: ENGINE IMMOBILISER.

Bad trip pa dyan, matagal mag process ng plates and dealer and LTO. I have a recently purchased car that's been sitting in it's garage for nearly a month already since i don't bring it out sans the plates.

    Preventive:
    - Choose where you go and park; eating at resto? Better to go to the mall over going to the open restos in places such as Timog, Morato, QC (certified carnap/carjack hotspots).
    - Don't loiter inside or near your car when you are parked outside. When you park, leave immediately after assessing the area is generally safe (well lighted and visible to the general public).
    - Huwag ka bumili ng uso na kotse kung maari; Montero Sport and Fortuner are carnapper favorites along with vans and pick-ups (easy to sell and/or use in the province).
    - Having an alarm or steering lock is a deterrent however as long as they want your car, they will try and get it.

@ Vehicle immobilizers, a lot of cars have them today that's why carjacking has become prevalent over carnapping; thieves need the car key. A GPS tracker system seems to be a good option.

Always have comprehensive insurance; if someone pokes the gun or knife at you and wants your car, give it and let them go as soon as possible.

saw one ads on tsikot.com about this, you can see on a browser map where your car is, you can also text something to your car to immobilize it.

Sa sasakyan namin, lahat may steering wheel lock, and the engine immobiliser.

Then, you can track your car, kung saan dadalhin.

A little off topic, regarding side mirror, may mga street na talamak sa nakawan ng side mirror, they can get your side mirror in 5 seconds, lalo na sa trapik. So a side mirror protection might help.

Have your plate number etched on your side mirror.

Ako I simply lock it then the alarm would engage already siguro naman pwede na ito.
