is there a way na maconvert yung high roof to flat roof

Better headroom basically. The local Patrols also had two options for rear jump seats (side facing and front facing); having the bubble top would make things easier for those in the side facing rear jumpseats.

@ converting the rear bubble top to a flat roof, i'd rather not as it may affect the structural integrity. The best option if you really want to do that is to find a JDM surplus flat roof cut.

Yes, the Patrol was available in the ME, EU, AU, and Africa being a world model of Nissan however most (if not, all) of the surplus GQ Patrols that will find their way here are Japan models (whether converted RHD or a surplus shop chop-chop).

There are a lot of restrictions to importing used vehicles into the country unless you're a returning balikbayan, a diplomat, or you have the capabilities of doing it through the freeports like in Cagayan and Subic, which are all bulk imports from Japan just as well. The only Dubai/Mid East spec GQ Patrols i've seen on the road are from the 1990s (with T or U plates to denote the time of importation or registration).

Units that come from the Mid East are brand new, grey market imports (new Patrol and LC200 mostly).

yun na nga eh. so much better kumuha nalang ng local unit?

any comments with regards to the new super safari? (not the patrol royale)

Yeah, pwede naman ipasok pero masakit sa bulsa and it wont be worth it.

@ the Super Safari; if you're comparing it to the current gen Montero Sport, Pajero, Land Cruiser, and Fortuner, it is already old and not as refined. This will however be a good choice if you're serious on off-roading and durability. The first gen GD30 engines that were released (around 2001-2003) were quite problematic however Nissan fixed this on the later to current versions; there are even tips on the Aussie Patrol forums on how to modify this for better power and response. In terms of angas factor, the Patrol still stands on its own against the current crop of SUVs.

They sold that here but it didn't last too long on the market; mahal crudo eh. The local review to this was that it was a real good performer (especially when compared with the older 4.5L 6 cylinder).

That's the variant i like, the last models of the GQ Patrol Safari (1999-2000). The 1993-1995 models had some rust problems and used a different injection pump as well.
