Any idea how many years will a casa (car dealer) support your car's model and year?

As the subject goes.. Any idea guys?

I own an old Toyota Vios 2005. And since day 1, laging sa casa ko ito pinapamaintain because I don't know a talyer or a mechanic that I can trust on and I also wanted my car to run on the standard specs set by Toyota. I don't like bandaid solutions (pwede na), as much as possible I want my car running always on its standard specifications kaya din pinili ko ang Vios para relatively cheap compared to other make/model ng Toyota. Now since medyo matagal tagal na ito gusto ko lang malaman kung meron bang up to how many years lang isusupport ng official dealer mo ang sasakyan na binili mo sa kanila? Reason din na naitanong ko dahil wala akong balak na ipagbenta ang sasakyan na ito for the next 10 years.

Besides Toyota, how about these other dealers:

1.) Hyundai
2.) Toyota
3.) Honda
4.) Ford
5.) Kia

Considering to buy a new car for my wife and sa ngayon ang napupusuan naming talaga ay Hyundai. Given the brands above, meron ba kayong idea on up to how many years will they support the vehicles that they sell (Pinas setting).

If a part needs to be replaced and parts for the specific model are no longer in their inventory, they will see if parts from current models can be used. Kung pwede yun and gagamitin.

Of course you will be advised yun ang gagamitin because the price they will charge you will reflect the cost of the current inventory.

Now, kung walang makitang "compatible" (para bang pc ), they will advise you they will source from the "outside" or as they say "kukuha sa labas".

Pero kung galing sa labas, sasabihan ka rin na limited or no warranty yung parts.

Ang isang kabutihan lang kung casa ay laging nandun yung due diligence sa paghanap ng tamang replacement parts for old cars.
  • toyotas no problem with parts and services.

worst thing can happen is you'd have to buy the parts yourself sa banaue and have it serviced sa casa.

    (they allow that)

but for things like accessories that the local distributor just buys off a local supplier, sandali lang wala nang parts for it.

like stepboard ng trooper. my dad broke one side, wala nang mahanap na pangpalit doon. because locally supplied lang yan isand importer.

things like radios, backup sensors- etc locally supplied.

replacement parts are a plent for toyota- always.

given naman na na mahal magpa gawa sa casa, pero added value in what your paying is the service that they give you specially the after sales support. kung pumalya yung pinagawa mo pde mo ibalik sakanila. plus, ORIGINAL yung parts na binebenta, except kung walang available na kukuha sila sa labas, plus 30% nga lang sila dun.

At decision ng may-ari kung papalitan na o hindi.

we serviced our mazda 323 doon sa mismong casa ng Mazda a few years ago (kahit kinuha namin yung tsikot in a Wheels dealer, where they were used to distribute Mazda before), and even in a Kia dealer (they also used to sell Mazda before), pinaservice din namin doon.

it really depends kung yung dealer is willing to service your car at any model, new or old. basta parts are available to repair/replace/fix, etc. :)

The Toyota CASA (and most brand dealers as well) will always be able to source parts for most models after 1990; for our 1996 Land Cruiser 80 series, they still carry parts and the worse case is i have to wait over a month for parts to be shipped in from Japan. In this case i just go to my other original part suppliers who have the part handy (in most cases).

I don't believe in full CASA support as much though. Best to also have other sources for service on things such as your suspension, paint job and a/c works. The CASA also outsources some stuff they can't bother much with or might cost too much to have the needed equipment for.

Also, the level of good service is not really a brand-centric item but more of the management of the CASA. There are good and bad ones for almost any brand.
  • Sa experience ko sa Mitsubishi, for consumable parts like filters, clutch discs, brake pads meron sila for my 1995 Lancer. Pero nung naghahanap na ako ng reversing switch, wala na sila. Take note I went to 2 different Mitsubishi dealers (Fairview and Roxas Blvd). I had to go to El Dorado-Aurora Blvd to get one.

Sineservice nila kahit anong year model ng car. I remembered once sabi nila mas gusto nila gumawa ng mga older year models kasi napapatunayang matibay ng mga soon to be owners.
