Toyota Altis or Honda City — PinoyExchange

Toyota Altis or Honda City

I'm planning to buy a new car this month (altis or city) but I can't decide which one will I get. Plus, I'm also considering a Mistubishi sedan.

Questions:

1. Between Altis and City, which is more preferable?

(i went to both honda and toyota showrooms, di naman nagkakalayo ang price nila.)

2. Can I buy a sedan type in Mitsubishi that'll cost below 1M?

3. Which car company is the best among the rest (not including luxury car co.)? :rotflmao:

Thanks for the help!!

If you'll compare the 2 Altis lagi panalo!

    I personally prefer the Altis:
    - More torque (or hatak) from the engine due to its more useable powerband (Hondas usually need high rpms to get a good kick from the engine).
    - Bigger car (in terms of width and length).
    - More refined suspension
    - Better road noise insulation.

The City would have an advantage if you're looking for car thats easy to maneuver around due to its smaller size.

For service pricing, AFAIK Honda is more expensive although the plus side is for the City, you'll only be seeing your service center every 10,000kms while with Toyota, you still need to go in every 5,000kms.
  • corolla - bigger car and safer.,
  • 1. altis
    2.lancer ex
    3. city.

those cars are three different cars, you cant compare them
  • ^I agree, but he must be referring to the prices of the cars. If you will notice the prices are almost the same with each other so I think he needs opinion who among those units will be the best bang for the buck.

  • Pansin ko lang, the newer Toyota cars have the instrument panel at the middle of the dashboard, and not in front of the driver. If you feel na maninibago ka or maaapektuhan yung safety ng driving mo dahil dito, or kung feeling mo na hindi ka masasanay sa layout na ito, probably avoid Toyota.

kung top of the line ng city bibilhin mo ito ang advantage mo sa low end ng altis

Strange on the part of your officemate since most of the time this wont be used, IMO.

  • Altis and City are different cars, I've driven both
and my vote goes to Toyota.

:bounce::grinroll::rotfl:

Thanks!

50-50 yan kung bukas on Black Saturday and Easter sunday. You may try the one in Mall of Asia but they may not have a Lancer display (maliit lang yung showroom).

Personally, i'd still go with the Altis G (having driven both models well enough). The advantage i see from the city is really more on its compact size which will make it easier to drive in tight spots. FC will not vary much AFAIK.
