Gosh figure of speech lang pala yung "living like a king"...

Anyways, you don't need to sound "pikon" and start belittling others...you have your views and we have ours (based from our own experiences). But just because some people prefer living abroad DOES NOT mean that they/we have a tough time living in our own country. BUT I suggest you go the extra mile and try to analyze instead of saying things you aren't sure of.;)

FYI: I prefer living a simple/non-stressful life than living like a queen! ;)

The reality is mahirap ang buhay sa ibang bansa, so excuse those people na naging maganda ang buhay nila after several years of hardships kung ayaw na nilang bumalik sa Pilipinas.

Minsan din sinasabi nilang ayaw nilang bumalik sa Pilipinas for good upang i-justify ang kanilang desisyon sa pananatili sa bansa nila ngayon.

Not a lot of people get lucky abroad. Some of them, lalo na yung may natapos, at maganda naman ang trabaho sa Pilipinas, are better off staying sa Pilipinas. The reality abroad is that if you are there for a family visa, and not work visa, it will be difficult for you to get a good job because you are competing with the rest of the locals who have a better grasp of the culture and language (obviously). While technical skills are important, in most high-paying jobs "soft skills' are regarded with the most premium.

Maraming gustong bumalik sa Pilipinas, but won't dahil sa "HIYA". Ayaw nilang maging "failure" sa paningin ng kanilang mga kamag-anak that's why they try to convince other, (and their selves) of how overall, it is still good abroad.

To answer -- kung maganda na ang buhay mo sa Pilipinas, it is to your advantage to stay there for social and economic reasons. Let's face it -- discrimination is still rampant in other countries especially to those living in developing nations. Even in US-- the melting pot of immigrants -- you will not get the best jobs even if you meet the qualifications if they think you are not "American" enough.

sa totoo lang... wala akong paki alam kung ano buhay ko sa pilipinas para tumira diyan. tanggalin yung ugly na squatter areas, traffic at pollution... kahit mamatay ako sa kakatrabaho... i would live there.

Not necessarily true. Madaming practicing Pinoy doctors sa US. Mga graduate ng UST at UP. At sa engineering field madaming Indians. Kung highly specialized ang skills mo and if you really are good, they don't have any reason to discriminate against you. They would want you to work for them.

do they fit in the description of someone who came here through family visa, and going to school here, graduating college, and then competing with the local for jobs??

Anywhere you go if you have tons of experienced, and you got a job the moment you landed in the foreign soil, of course, it is going to be easy. You already have the job. You don't have to COMPETE in the market!!

What I mean is, I am talking about those who have to start over again in another country. Think twice, and make sure that you are really ready to compete with the people here.

diyan pa lang mahirap nang i-achieve. Pag-foreigner, you are held in a higher standard, so beware!

strip clubs and redlight districts abroad are better than those here. mababaw man ang dahilan pero sa ilang pinoy... isa yan sa determining factor kung mag-aabroad sila... mabubusog ang mata mo. mostly sa mga bansa ng mga puti. meron din mga panget na babae dun but not unlike here where most look like longkatuts

    kung maganda meaning;
    - may sariling bahay,
    - may sariling sasakyan,
    - may tuloy tuloy na source of income na sigurado ako na hindi mapuputol hanggang sa mapagtapos ko ang mga anak ko, tumanda kami ng asawa ko.
    - may sapat na pera para makapagbakasyon kung nanaisin kasama ang pamilya sa loob man o labas ng pinas kahit 2x/year.
    - mabili ang mga bagay na kailangan at kahit extra na luho. - makapag enjoy with barkada at family kahit 1x/week.
    - makatulong sa magulang dahil matatanda na sila.
    - makatulong sa charity.

besides, napaka-professional ng strippers nila, hindi madiskartehan sa bola, money down or get out!

    The Philippines in focus:

    Cost of Living 69/100
Average grade, the cost of living in the Philippines is still manageable but became fast rising several years back. I would say, let's maintain (if cannot be further be improved) this number and focus on some other areas.

    Leisure & Culture 60/100
Those remote beaches in Aklan, Cebu, Bohol and Palawan made this number possible. If we can have leisure parks, high end museums and casinos right next to NAIA, that would be better. We should target a score of 75 on this area before the end of this administration.

    Economy 42/100
Very poor rating. I think a technocratic republic system would solve this problem. And abolish the 60/40 proprietorship rule. We should target a score 60 in this area by end of 2016.

    Environment 68/100
Also an average score for me. Let's just keep the smile in our face!

    Freedom 58/100
What? I thought we're full of freedom? Are we on the wrong context of freedom?

    Health 46/100
Another poor rating. The government must really focus on the health care system.

    Infrastructure 36/100

    Risk & Safety 71/100
I was surprised by this score!!

    Climate 45/100

    TOTAL - 55/100
