I remember when we first bought our SIR 99 it was around 600k at that time while accord was around 1million. but now you can buy the accord 99 pataas for almost 230k to 300k. while an LXi civic 99 (pa lang) can cost 280k. Im just wondering kung may problem ang accord kung bat ganun n lang sya kababa.. dba po top of the line ang accord?
Salamat po.. Post ur offers na rin kung merun kayung alm.he he

yep. higher demand for the civics is all.0

I guess this would also hold true between galant and lancers. I would opt for a lancer for economical advantage, mabigat anmg galant at magastos.0

The Accord (and most 2.0L class cars) would be cheaper, or depreciates more because of:
- poor fuel economy in city traffic
- relatively more expensive parts
If you drive on the highways a lot though, these are good cars to have.
^what does it exactly mean pag sinabing poor fuel economy? Magastos sa fuel? What makes it un-economical compared to others?0 -

So true. Young people think that the civic is a super race car. Haha. Anyway, yes the civic is fast even in stock form. But speed is not everything. If you're looking for value for money, there are lots of alternative cars that are newer. You could get an 04 sentra, an 05 lynx for the price of a 12 year old civic.0 -

Larger engine displacement = poorer fuel economy.
In PI, a 1.3 litre 4-cylinder engine is plenty because the maximum speed limit is usually 40kph. And the usual driving condition is bumper-to-bumper crawl anyway so you would almost never average 30kph unless you speed.

IN A WAY, nde naman ibig sabihin na mas malaki engine displacement, i.e. 1.3 liter, 2.0 liter, 3.0 liter and so on engine, eh mas malakas na sya sa gas.
Hope this helps0 -

thanks for the info bro0 -
60KPH ang speed limit sa city. IIRC.
Maporma is subjective.
92-00 civics don't have ABS/EBD or even an airbag. Might be a few things to consider before you purchase.
Any alternate car sir para sa price 200k to 250k sana.. pero sagaran siguro 300k.. yoko ng vios or city na ek maliit kasi para samin.. Thanks... pero its worth it ba na accord ang bibilhin ko? kung ok lahat meaning maayus lahat ndi ba ko talo dun or just stick in civic medyo nalilito kasi ako he he he...0 -

@dyanitor: thanks for the heads up. Wasn't aware of the 40kph limit.
The 99-03 Accord is nice. If you can get the M/T version and if you can live with 6-7km/liter FC, go for it. It's bigger and definitely more comfortable to drive than the Civic.
Just wanted to share...2 weeks ago I was scouting for an 04 Cefiro Elite. I chanced upon this seller who has 4 of them. They are former hotel service limos. They are equipped with LPG. The price will definitely fit your budget, may sukli ka pa for maintenance. The deal breaker for me was that it has this "H" logo on the plate.0 -
