Hi! I Recently, my dad gave me one of our most vintage cars- yes, old na kasi. :) Anyway, it's a well maintained 1996 Nissan Sentra LEC.


Anyway, I wanna have the mags turned into color pink. My friend told me I can have it powdercoated. I have no idea what that is and how much it is.

HELP! :)

    No need for powdercoating really, you can have a paint shop paint it the color you want. If you do really want powdercoating, i saw this on one of the websites: http://autoeuropaph.com/europa-talk/index.php?topic=6879.0 The only thing is they don't seem to carry the color you want.

    The B13 Nissan Sentra is a very sturdy model as long as you follow the proper maintenance. We still have our 1993 unit in the garage seeing extra car duties to this very day (we bought it brand new over 18 year ago). It still passes emission testing with flying colors and runs very smoothly. With 5,000kms regular servicing, the engine has never been opened up save for having to replace the valve cover gasket.

    I agree, Nissan Sentra is a very sturdy model. Engine has never been opened up as well and can still compete with my mom's Honda vtec.

    Thanks for the tip. I changed my mind. Would rather keep the rims untouched since my brother told me my dad has just replaced them with BBS. Hay, I still need to learn a lot about cars :(

    di ba yan yung malakas sa gasolina, cramped ang loob at ginawang taxi noon? benta mo na lang at marami ka pang magagastos sa maintenance nyan

    Hmmm... Not sure, my P500 gas is more than enough for me to travel from Las Pinas to Mandaluyong to Para?aque to Mandaluyong again. May sobra pa. Maintenance? So far ok pa yung car and besides, I'm just a new driver so I really don't need a fancy car :)

    btw, I did see one '96 Honda Civic around our neighborhood with a pink and white mags, (maybe because hello kitty themed yung kotse).. though it doesn't look overrated.. hangkyut nga e :D
    hindi nga lang mukhang glossy yung ginamit na pink paint sa mags, yung white lang ang glossy

    at lalake ang nakita kong driver nun. :lol: (ewan ko lang kung hiniram o family driver lang talaga sya)

    Yeah, the Sentra's a good, sturdy car, no doubt to that. Don't need to listen to all those urban legends on the Sentra being sirain and all.

    The late Pocholo Ramirez drove a pink Honda Jazz BTW.
