what 2nd hand cars can I buy for 300k to 350k budget

Hi everyone Im newbie here in PEX. Gusto ko sana makuha opinyon ng mga expert because Im planning to buy a 2nd hand car with a budget of 300k to 350k. Anyone who can suggest what type of car suits for this budget im looking for the looks first 2nd nlang yung fuel efficiency. As Ived search sa mga 2nd hand car sites heres mga type ko Honda city Idsi, Toyota Vios, Honda civic vtec maybe model 98-2001 and Mazda 3 model 2004 or 2005. I like most yung Mazda 3 kaso medyo mataas pa yta resale value nya iilan lamang nakita ko na pasok sa budget ko and just wanna ask something bakit po kaya mas mura ang city Idsi and toyota vios since minsan same lang din year model nila is there any problem with this type of vehicle kaya mura ang bentahan. Any reply is very much appreciated thanks everyone.

With that budget, you can already buy:

    Honda SIR
    Honda Fit (B Plate)
Honda LXI-VTi (May sukli pa pang tune up/check up)
Toyota na sedan 2003 model and below.

IMHO, the reason why Honda City is priced less than Toyota Vios is baka mas in demand ang Vios na second hand. As their argument suggests, Mas madaming parts ang Toyota. E since second hand ang bibilin mo, magkakapoint na papalitan mo na din ibang piyesa nyan. Dun papasok ang advantage ng Toyota.

Payo lang, kung may stable job ka naman, why not use the money as downpayment for a Toyota Vios 1.3E? Fuel Efficient and sa above 50% downpayment, magmomonthly ka lang siguro ng around 7k-8k per month.
  • thank you sa reply bossing finish contract narin kasi OFW from south korea try ko tignan mga suggestion mo salamat. Ano ba pagkakaiba ng Honda CIty IDSi sa same brand din kasi may honda city lang but same year model pro mas mura yata yung IDSI. Same thing with the vios its cheaper than other toyota model.

You can get a 2007 Nissan Sentra for that price, full options na yan, ABS, all-power, mp3 player, airbags, etc.

You can also get an early 2000's Cefiro for that price, and travel in luxury.

Nissans typically give the best bang for the buck in the 2nd hand market.

Baka yung iba nanakikita mo is mas mataas yung enging displacement.. me 1.3 liter na vios at 1.5 kung nde ako nagkakamali, same din ata sa city.. meron vtec meron ding idsi.

i-DSI is designed for fuel efficiency while VTEC is designed for both power and economy.

If you're getting a an 04-07 City or a Jazz (old body) better get the M/T version. The ones with CVT are expensive to repair.
  • Pwede narin po yan sa altis baka type mo rin. konti nalang difference ng presyo ng vios sa altis e mas malaki space for passengers and cargo space/ trunk space. pati engine displacement din pero almost the same lang. pero vios and city ok din, matipid pareho lalo na kung manual tranny at kondisyon parati. =)

^+1. Altis is a good choice. Matipid din ang altis.
  • maraming salamat sa suggestion mga bossing, pro type ko **** yung mazda 3 ano ba mga dis advantages ng car na to compare to others one thing I wanna ask is there a SM7, SM3, SM5 na second hand korean cars kasi mga yan mganda yung porma desente tignan lalo pag itim
  • sir tanung ko lang what do you mean by SM7, SM3, SM5? pasensya na hehe

mazda 3 ok lang din po pero based on fuel consumption, malayong mas matipid po yung city and vios. go for mazda 3 if you're not concerned with fuel consumption. at wala po atang manual ang M3 correct me if i'm wrong. gwapo din naman m3. =)

Its a Samsung Motors i think maybe hindi pa nila nilalabas sa other country ony in south korea. I know mas mahal pagawa ng matic na sasakyan compare to manual but i think they design it for that *** ok narin po sakin matic since its city driving lang din naman po.

sir rambo masyado naman po bulky ang CRV although like ko rin po ang looks niyan but those type of car eh para sa maraming passengers ska maaksaya po sa gasoline I know since single pa naman po kaya mga kotse muna po but thanks for the suggestion sir

boaa jason ano po ang CVT that are expensive to repair
  • Goodluck na lang sayo TS, sa daming kotse na nabaha mahirap makakita ng maayos na 2nd hand car ngayon. mauutak ang iba nag pa pintura na ng auto para matago ang mga natirang putik.

    CVT = Continuously Variable Transmission

This is the automatic transmission found in the City and Jazz models from 2004 to 2008. It gives good performance and fuel economy but if it breaks, its a PITA to repair. You even have to reprogram it from time to time (i.e. after changing batteries, etc).

To add na rin, current honda city/jazz models reverted to non CVT transmissions.

Its safer to get the MT because its cheaper to maintain.

    When you test drive it:
    - Observe for any lag or shock when the car is starting from standstill.
    - Check that the steering shifter buttons still operate in manual mode.
    - Check for drag, lag or shock when starting from standstill while going up a steep incline.
    - Observe for any lag between shifting from reverse to D.
  • @orenji21 ok talaga ang mazda 3 lalo na sa looks, the problem is 6-8 km/lit. ang fuel consumption niya… sta maria bulacan (nlex) to ortigas vice versa…medyo mababa ang mileage compared sa iba car brand for 1.6lit. medyo same kami nasa isip ni “im_an_alternick”…

    Honda SIR
    Honda Fit (B Plate)
Honda LXI-VTi (May sukli pa pang tune up/check up)
Toyota na sedan 2003 model and below.

Kung sa resale value mataas ang Honda SiR. 280-350k parin ang bentahan niya. kung sa look?... legendary!!!!

Honda Fit (B Plate) – fuel efficient
  • dagdagan mo konti..400k 2003 CR-V na makukuha mo jan.
