  • Hi, would like to ask if it is possible to have an HSBC Advance checking and savings account both with debit cards and both under Philippine Peso? I'm asking because I have been told that one can only open one account per currency. I really wanna verify based from your experiences. I hope someone will answer this. Thank you.  =)

Possible to have multiple accounts under Advance and Premier, kahit same currency. You can easily transfer funds online between them pa. Meron ako more than 1.

Iyong TD and deposit rates ba talaga na nasa app or website nila ay katulad ng inooffer sa branch? Parang I find it too low..

I like it for peace of mind sa emergencies.

You also get a free Advance/Premier card which you can consolidate again sa other HSBC cc if you have

Dumaan ako sa HSBC Binondo branch kanina, may guard din sa loob like HSBC Savings in Alabang. Hahaha! Ang galing lang.

Buti pa ang HSBC, concerned sila sa security ng mga clients nila using their self-help pieces of equipment.

Yun ang maganda. All ATMs are enclosed and may guard 24/7.

Finally, I sent an application online to open an HSBC Advance account. I was informed that someone will contact me in 3 banking days.

How does it work ba? Are they going to ask me to visit their branch or parang Human Switch na pupuntahan ka nila and you just prepare your check?

    Thank you.

No one has contacted me until now. Worse, the HSBC Savings Alabang branch cannot be reached by their hotline.

I guess I need to postpone opening an account with them until I have millions to spare.

As per HSBC Makati, you'd need to open an account with HSBC, not HSBC Savings, if you want to keep the same login details with your cc. Otherwise, you will have a separate login account for your deposits. Additionally, they don't visit anyone to open an account, you need to go to their branch talaga.

Yes, in-person ang application. Better actually to just go there straight since doon ka rin lang pupunta. Mas mabilis.

SecB lang naman ata may home service for opening?

Ah ganun ba yun login. Akala ko unified login na lahat. Sa HSBC BGC ka na lang mag open para mas mabilis. Medyo kaunti lang daw tao sa HSBC BGC pero kung taga binondo ka, HSBC Binondo is also ang option.

Ganito din yun nangyari sakin before. I initially tried HSBC Advance online application parang twice ata pero walang kumokontak sakin. Then last Month pumunta ako sa Taguig branch, inaccommodate naman nila ko. Balik ako next week to claim yun debit card at for initial deposit na din. May 5-7 banking days of approval pa kasi yun account application sa kanila unlike local banks na approved agad basta complete requirements.

it is good to know that HSBC is enforcing its commitment on HSBC global standards to prevent financial crime. Regarding opening HSBC Advance or HSBC Premier accounts since malaki ang mga opening balance at maintaining balance dito they need to do bg check pa. Kaya 5-7 banking days pa for approval, we apologize for such inconvenience.

  • jj1931jj1931 PEx Rookie ⭐
I actually see it positive, not an inconvenient thing kasi you can really tell from account opening pa lang that the bank practices strict financial security measures for both parties protection na din. Although it favors the bank na yun mga clients eligible for advance/premier account na yun lumalapit sa kanila  but still they have to do thorough checking of these potential clients.

Yun suggestion ko lang is siguro alisin na lang nila yun online application for interested client kasi misleading. After accomplishing the online form, it says na expect a call daw within x banking days pero di naman tumatawag so client might assumme na hindi sya qualified. Instead, imention na lang na pumunta na lang sa branch.

Ang maganda sa account opening - since you automatically get a checking account sa Advance/Premier, parang sila lang ang bank that can give you a checking account right away (apart from Citi?). Most local banks prefer 6 months or more na savings account. This is provided you maintain the minimum requirements.

Medyo hassle nga na babalik ka pa - but then some other banks naman din ay 1 week din bago makuha ang debit card at checkbook. In the meantime though, bukas na ang account mo at pwede ka na mag deposit (may account number na).

^oo nga no, yun pa pala yun isang benefit nya, checking na agad yun initial account mo sa kanila if ever. Initially, I told them na savings plan ko iopen (since mas gagamitin ko pa din siguro checking ko sa other banks) pero I was advised na pag peso currency checking na daw talaga ini-issue nila ngayon unless dollar. Narecall ko lang, yun SB All Access account makakapag-open ka na agad ng checking, but majority nga requires na may existing savings account ka muna sa kanila.
