pag more than 100k **** ang deposit.. dapat may pre approved na credit card a yun.. most banks do that

I love Advance because it has the Premier features minus the 4 Million PhP Balance Requirement. No foregin transactions fees. Global transfer/View is available and discount in international account opening..

90% of your deposit so kung 100k deposit mo sa advance, 90k ang credit line mo

^Ganun dati sa PowerVantage, the credit card issued is as good as a secured credit card. Not sure if the same applies for Advance.

  • Seems like our payroll account will be under HSBC (Salary Plus). I just wonder how accessible are HSBC atms? Do you get charged if you withdraw from Bancnet affiliated atms? Meron din bang checkings account ang HSBC? How much ang minimum? I prefer to maintain my savings on my other banks kasi, so I plan to transfer most of my salary to BDO or BPI.
  • Hi!
Can the HSBC Advance debit card be used for online shopping?
  • Hey everyone. We opened an account with HSBC Advance last month, and we don't really know what the perks are. I mean, there has to be some sort of advantage compared to other bank accounts right? We have BPI as well but decided to open na din with HSBC.

Any current or long time account holders of Advance? What are the perks, pro and cons? Please share! Thanks! :bashful:

I had an HSBC Advance account. Biggest benefit for me was the zero charge on atm withdrawals on bancnet, megalink and expressnet. I normally dont carry much cash and withdraw from atms frequently so that's a lot of savings in a year. Kung mataas pila sa isang atm, lipat ka lang sa walang pila ;) Big time saver.

Tapos when I used it overseas, mas favorable din ang net rate niya compared to BPI.
  • That's nice! I wish they give out credit cards too! :) So far we've been depositing about 6 figures monthly di man lang sila mag offer ng card. Haha!
  • up ko lang itong thread.

we've been an Advance client for a few months now, puro deposits lang, no withdrawals, malaki na din ang pera namin dun, since ang monthly deposit namin eh 6 figures monthly.. i just wonder why di sila nag-alok man lang ng cc? or kelangan kami pa mag-ask? reading the posts here, it seems kayo pa inalok. hmm.

You can apply for the Advance Credit Card. This is available to Advance account holders. Try calling the CSR.

  • I emailed my Personal Banking Manager pero she offered a secured card or submit daw ako ng docs. Ang weird lang.

In my case, I have been an HSBC Advance account holder for 4 years now. Opened the account when it was still called HSBC PowerVantage. I requested a Platinum card last month and was still asked to submit an ITR and CC from other banks. I felt that it had to go through the usual approval process although existing banking relationship with HSBC had some form of bearing/influence. I was then issued a Platinum card not an Advance credit card.

I think either you go through the regular card application process or they issue you an Advanced credit card secured by your relationship balance.

i opened an advance account this afternoon, wala ngang preapproved credit card, much more, an advance credit card upon opening. yung preapproved cc daw is after 6months pa, depende pa sa ganda ng transactions mo. kung gusto ko raw credit card, i have to submit financial documents pa daw.

Pag 6 months pwede na? Which branch nagsabi sayo neto? 7 months na kasi yung bank account namin sa kanila and we have maintained well over 6 figures na puro deposits lang so far..
