one thing i like most about HSBC is that i really feel secure transacting with them via online with their unique password requirement. para kasing two layers ang password encryption nila: first, there is the primary password that you have to key-in in full and then the second layered password is parang variable sya kasi it would require you to input 3 characters from your second password and every time mag log-in ka ibang set of characters ang hinihingi nya....*okay*ayus di ba?

the best din talaga ang posting ng payments nila if you pay your cc bills on line...in my experience less than two hours lang posted na agad yung payment mo sa cc mo puede mo agad magamit cc mo if na max out sya....*okay*ayus di ba?:D
  • Yeah...I'm happy with HSBC so far...Kakaopen ko lang kasi eh. Haha! One more thing, employees's loan intereest rate daw ibibigay sa akin :)
No docs needed. Not even a deed of assignment.

Hehe Remember, what you give is what you get... 69 :))

    BDO? EXCELLENT!

    Withdrawals, deposit and everything.

It is always best to establish a good relationship with the manager and marketing officer.
Waaaah! Grabe... I cant forget withdrawing 15k Baht sa Bangkok tapos ang debit sa account ko is 45,000 pesos.
    Grrrr!

HSBC and BDO for life na yata ako.
Ayoko kay BPI. Yong ITF Account ng tatay ko for me, for 5 years then 4 years akong current and TD account client nila, nagrequest ako ng CC kahit secured na, nagpahold ako 200k, enough for Gold Card, aba...declined? Pull out corporate account namin, pull out savings, pull out lahat! Haha

    HSBC ADVANCE?

^ Hi! Ask ko lang kasi I am also intending to apply for a car loan in the near future. If in case I will open an Advance account with them, do you think they will approve my application? Are they going to ask for some supporting docs kaya or no need based sa nangyari sa inyo? TIA

TRB for advance is 100K - no charge when withdrawing in any ATM in the Philippines. But there is a charge for out of country withdrawals.
  • Pag HSBC ATM abroad, walang charge.

^^^ ah okay... thanks for the info guys!!! :)
  • regarding the annual fee waiver thing, i think mali lang tyempo mo sa CSR... in any case, i suggest you go to your branch of account and raise some hell with the local hsbc advance liaison... minsan badtrip lang talaga kumausap sa CSR pag nagkataon, even in the Premier hotlines I occasionally get a not so accomodating csr, i just stick with it and ask more questions...sometimes it's fun listening to them suppress their "katarayans" just to accomodate us, of course we all should understand their also just human and have moods, but some professionalism towards Advance and Premier clients would be nice.

and oh yeah guys, expect talaga to be hounded with offers for loans etc... the year's about to end, thus madaming naghahabol ng quota
  • Interesting... any other points to convince me into opening an HSBC advance account? Sa ngayon, I'm active with BDO and plan to open an account with BPI

Have you receive your ADVANCE CC? how much is the limit?
  • Wala pa. Nasa courier na raw. Ayaw sabihin kung how much credit line ko pero, I was assured, matutuwa raw ako :)

Ang kulit lang, daming tawag from them offering insurance and loans. *** loans pinatulan ko pero i told them, avail ko by the end of first Q next year.

  • Hi all,

Any idea how the customer service is in the Davao branch? Planning to open as well Advance TD for emergency fund.

    Couple more questions also :)

    - What documents are needed?
    - Can I make additional deposits anytime like a regular account?

    Many thanks all :)

    Went to HSBC today...Advance Account.
They asked me if I still need a credit card. I told them that...

"if you'll be asking me to provide supporting documents, no, thank you"

    then he replied...

"No need, Sir. It's part of HSBC Advance Perks and Privileges. Expect to receive the HSBC Advance Credit Card before the holidays. You'll love the initial credit line we'll give you"

Me: "Alright, then. Let's see. Bye"

    LOL

Good for you. I wasn't happy with my case. Until Nov 2011, I had both foreign and local accounts sa hsbc for 2 years. I rarely withdrew, puro deposit lang. Savings talaga. When xmas was nearing, naisipan ko lang mag apply ng credit card (classic pa nga gusto ko para matipid :D) dahil siempre christmas shopping. The teller (or personal savings asst?) asked me to submit documents again, the way I first opened my accounts 2 years ago.

I asked why all the incovenience-- when in fact I should have been offered pre-approved cc pa nga. I didn't apply before because I saw no need for it that time. Porke ba walk-in lang ako and voluntarily opened accounts, wala na perks ibigay? Marami pa rin syang explanations and I got annoyed. Right there and then, I told her to close my accounts and transfer all to my other bank just a block ahead. I told her not to bother, or she might not like what I'm going to tell her supervisor. ;)
