Naipit na ugat sa likod

Hi docs,

I injured myself by while doing yoga. I guess that some of the poses were really too advanced for me or maybe I just didn't warm up properly.

While doing one of the pose, I felt that a nerve on my left back got stuck and it was really painful. It's around the scapula area (I'm a nurse so I know some anatomy and physiology :) ). The pain was sudden. It was like that for maybe around 3-4 days, I let it be and then it went away.

It came back 3 weeks later. Earlier that day, I just did the laundry. Of course I have to wring the clothes, hang them to dry. I guess what did it is because I did some lifting and my body twisted on several occasions. It was really painful and I was grimacing because of it. I put Pau liniment but it did not go away. Then I just rested my back and it's better now.

Can you advise me on how to avoid having this? I'm afraid that it would go back. Should it go back, should I just rest or take in some meds? Would massage help or make it worse?

Thank you.

BTW, what is the medical term for this condition? Thank you.

  • pinched nerve ata tawag dyan hehe
  • Same case like mine. After ko magzumba na feel ko yung pain or ngawit na bumaba hanggang right leg. After a month I decided to go at NYtheraspine. Na tulungan nila ko. Nag undergo ako ng Ilang sessions ng physical therapy ang myotherapy. Iwas lang muna sa extreme movements and activities. Need talaga mag rest at stretching.
