Got a credit score of 758 from TU Report. Categorised as Medium Risk daw...

I was finally able to talk to someone from TU. Ganito ang credit scoring sa Pilipinas.

    Credit score range: 300 - 900
    830 - 900: very low risk
    790 - 829: low risk
    730 - 789: medium risk
    300 - 729: high risk

Btw, according to the person from TU, if you have some dispute with the data, you have to settle it with your bank. They don't have the authority to change your data. They are just collecting data and do not edit them.

pag less than 1 year pa lang kaya card mo ano kaya score? meron na ba data kahit less than a year pa lang?

I think the score will be medium risk to high risk. Kulang pa ng data to conclude that you are a good borrower. You can only prove it through time.

Yes, that's how it goes rin in other countries. Kinopya lang natin ang concept nila so it is no surprise na same lang ang capacity rin nila.

This is why it's crucial to coordinate closely with your bank if may mga disputes, fraud, late payments, etc kasi they need to submit an update duon usually 30 calendar days.

For example, nagapply ako sa isang agent.

Wala bang kaso yon? I mean, negative effect sa credit score and all?

Wag mo na i-activate. No Annual fee naman pag inactive.

Dont close the account.

They called once nung Dec, I said Ill activate when I need it na.

They said ok, and never called again.

Kung ako lang, ipapa close ko and cut the card into pieces.

Contrast to sakit ng ulo if someone gets hold of it, does unauthorized transactions, or the bank mistakenly activates the card automatically tapos nabill ka ng AF, etc.

With the advancement of fraud na kahit hindi mo naman nilalabas ang card mo and yet nakukuha parin nila, you cannot be too careful these days.

Paki-explain how someone can make unauthorized transactions on an Non-activated card?

    Parang illogical yung sinabi mo.

    Malamang inside job kapag ganito.
