Dear Moderator,

Can you please consolidate all threads pertaining to requests for solution manuals (solmans). The Pinoy Accountancy section is drowning from request for solman's threads. I think it has lost its true purpose which is to be of help to the students and accountancy educators alike.

^ In addition to merging of threads, gawing sticky topic na lang sya at least kita kagad nung ibang may balak magpost ng ganung topic.

The opening post siguro can have general info related to SolMans, kung san meron, anu-anong klase etc to be provided by Sir Larry and/or other reliable sources

I agree with Sir Larry...parang nagiging forum na lang ito para sa mga request ng mga manuals...dapat idelete na nga account ng mga nagrerequest at nagpopost ng mga topics about solution manuals... *okay*

Hi guys! Need your help - what threads should be merged, and how should they be merged? Not too familiar with the terms, etc. If someone can explain it to me, I'll do the merging. Just need to understand it more.

    Thank you!
  • hi sir carams! need accounting lesson?:lol:

char lang fo... wag niyo fo aketch ivan. mavait naman aketch eh.

i think, what they mean is that the moderators should merge those threads with thread starters asking for solution manuals e.g. isang author kahit na madami siyang vooks na sinulat or lahat na lang yata ng solutions manual ng accounting vooks/reviewers, pwede siyang imerge sa isang thread lang . kung fano fo sila i merge eh hindi ko fo alam. kayo fo ang the vest dyan..

    sana nakatulong aketch, kahit fafano...

I know that they mean. But before I can merge I need to understand what I need to merge. I might end up merging threads even if they don't need to be merged just because the titles have "solution manual".
  • as for me, it is ok to merge all threads re: solution manuals of any book of any author. students/reviewees who are asking for solution manuals of books can just go open the merged thread to ask/find what they are looking for.

basically, these solution manuals are answers/solution guides to the end of chapter questions whether they be theories or problems. accounting/taxation/law books have limited editions/authors, thus (i believe) merging all the threads where one looks for the solution manual may not give any inconvenience.
  • i have browsed this forum and i agree that all those threads with 'solution manuals/solmans' can be merged in one thread.

i have a feeling that one only creates another thread asking for solution manuals because he/she wants to get other forumers' attention (maybe because she/he wants to get their attention first?).

Hi CaRaMBa, just merge all threads related to solution manuals, testbanks. You can do the merging by date/time of entries. *okay*
  • yeah.. been noticing this trend and it's annoying...

why not do it per topic? Aud prob, Theory of accts.. etc.

Hindi sobra ang sinabi ko, para lang mas magcomment at matamaan naman kayo... alam ko na high tech na ngayon, pero mali pa rin ang pagsheshare/trade/sale ng mga solution manuals...sa 'yo ba yang mga manuals na 'yan? may copyright ka ba? sorry if you considered my post as below the belt though it's not for me...I know walang rule dito sa forum about diyan sa mga manuals, and I know na you're just helping students/reviewees but please think twice, you're helping them in the wrong way...hindi mo sila hinahayaang mag-aral ng kanila...kahit pa anong explanation mo about sharing/trading manuals, bottom line is mali pa rin 'yan...

    God bless...

di ko alam na nagkakagulo na po pala yung iba regarding sa talamak na trading at bentahan ng Sol.Man...Actually, I' m glad to know na available pala ang mga answer keys online. And unlike sa mga magaganda at elite na schools, ang school ko ay isang IT universiry. Di masyadong priority ang mga business and other courses. Di rin naging masyadong istrikto ang teacher namin which I suddenly realize eh di nakatulong sa'kin to strive hard. I even dropped my dream to be a CPA at ginustong makatapos na lang. But now, narevive yung pangarap ko to take and pass the board exam.. 4th year na'ko and honestly, i've wasted my 3 years for not giving my best. But despite of this, may 3 more sems pa after this sem.. and I'm hoping makabawi pa ko. I'm really willing to do everything just to cope up with our lessons. Yun nga lang, i have to admit na napakahirap talaga. Parang ang dami ko na kasing pinalampas na chance to learn more. That's why I think magiging malaking tulong ang mga sol.man for me to check my work kung tama ba ang ginagawa ko..sa dami kasi ng lessons na nahihirapan akong intindihin, di sapat na itanong ko ulit silang lahat sa teacher ko while we have new sets of lessons already...Wag na lang po sana tayong mag-away-away. Many aspirants like me were being motivated by this site. What we should do is to use those sol.mans we have for the most efficient reason we have. :)

    Hi ghiel01,

But please don't post or offer solution manuals here.

Accountancy is not that difficult if you study hard. If you encounter any difficulties in answering questions/problems, you should get back to the basics which will serve as your guide. Every problems, questions on the BSA course/CPA Board Exams can be solved by following the fundamentals/basics of accounting. By practicing answering/solvings problems regularly, you'll be able to master the basics which will help you solve any hard problems/questions. If you still don't know how to solve it, try to re-read the concepts, try to solve again. If still you can't solve it, ask your professor or you can post questions in this forum.

There are CPA candidates who failed to pass the CPA Exam as a result of their being dependent on the solution manuals. What you will master on using solution manuals is the procedure on how to solve, not the concept which is the most important/efficient/best approach. That concept is same with the "basics/fundamentals of accounting" which I previously mentioned. I know you'll tell me that you're using the solution manuals in a more effective way. But the bottom line is you should not have such materials as a student (or reviewee). That materials belong to professors who are authorized by the publisher/author to use such.

The purpose of this forum - Pinoy Accountancy is to help the BSA students/reviewees on studying accountancy. Helping on the right way, not the wrong ones which include sharing/trading solution manuals. Answer keys are actually acceptable since it's usually included on the books (some) or can be distributed to students/reviewees.

Good luck to you and God bless. :)

Hi CaRaMBa, solution manuals and other instrutor's resources such as test banks are for the exclusive use of teachers. Using it for any other purpose by persons other than teachers is a violation of the copyright of the publisher & the author.

Sharing of "answer keys" is not a problem, but sharing or worse trading of solution manuals and testbanks can put even the website admin into hot water. It's plain & simple copyright violation.

Thanks Sir Cendrick for clarifying this issue to me...
    Now...naiintindihan ko na kung bakit..
Kung di man literal na masama ang trading at bentahan ng Sol.Man, there might be wrong concepts of using it..dahilan para lalo kaming di matuto...
:) Don't worry. I and my classmates will have a group study for the coming weeks.
Susubukan muna naming i-solve yung mga problems, then maybe pag di na kinaya saka pa lang kami magrerefer sa Sol.Man or sa teacher namin after reading again the concepts..
