What you need to learn in the call center industry. For newbies.


Hi. I'm Berto. I've been in the call center industry for 3 years now. I've been with different companies and I just want to share my experiences about the industry.

    Wear decent clothing. I know it's common to see call center applicants wearing t-shirt and jeans. But that still reflects to the personality and character of an applicant. The recruitment team might have the impression that you are not taking your application and the company seriously.

    always remember DRESS to IMPRESS :)

    It like a caller that has a question which is honestly not within your scope of knowledge. I'm sorry but I have no idea about it, but is there anything else I can help you with?

    Just a straight and honest answer...

    based sa recruitment specialist na nakausap ko...sa mga tricky question there's no right or wrong answer.. need mo lang talaga sumagot agad para malaman nila kung gano ka kabilis sumagot at mag-isip..
    sa question 2 or 3? just think of something na pede mag-describe sa ganun kulay...
    like for blue = sky, ocean, sea etc..
    for red = blood etc

    yeah..tama ka din dyan.. kaya sabi nga talaga nila there's no right or wrong answer.. kakalito lang talaga sagutin mga tricky question

    Need additional information naman how to answer this questions. Hindi ako sure kung spontaneity lang ba ang goal ng interviewer o may pag ka psychological ba yung tanung?

    1. 1. Have you seen a manhole before? Why do you think its shaped like a circle?
    - It's so it never falls in the hole. The radius of the manhole cover is greater than the radius of the manhole. Therefore, it can never fall in. Any other shape (square, triangle, decagon, etc.) can


    What glass of water would you choose? Half empty or half full?

    - You cannot "fill" to make anything "Full" unless you have an empty glass. knowing it was empty first, you could easily say its half empty. It was empty first.Ok now it has water in it. only half. it aint half full unless it started full, then was emptied some. but you normally recieve half of what youre looking for. Scientifically, its half empty.

    I am a shoddy dresser and i am with the belief that what i wear during an interview is not a major factor why my employers have hired me. maybe at first iisipin ng interviewer "ganda naman ng polo shirt nito" tapos nung nagsalita na yung aplikante "sana naging polo shirt ka na lang. ang sama mo mag english". a dress is something you wear. what you say during an interview is the deciding factor.

    I know sir, but still dressing right for an application really gives a positive impression to the interviewer. From the moment you stepped in the room and sit for the interview, that person will judge you based on everything you say, you look, and act.

    Dahil tao lang yung mga interviewer, may tendency pa din silang magkaron ng negative impression lalo na sa mga taong mukha hindi serious sa pag aaplay. May chance na sa kaliit liitang mali niya eh ikasabit niya dahil sa negative na impresyon na nakuha niya sa umpisa pa lang.

    Mas nakikita kasi ng recruitment ang sincerity ng aplikante sa pag aaplay kapag naka japorms sila.

    no worries mang berto. ako kasi i am not into fashion. i wear anything as long as it fits. hindi rin kasi ako nag iinvest sa mga mamahaling damit kasi yung mga daga at langgam lang sa bahay ang nakikinabang. hehehe.

    Hello, ask lang ako about hazard pay. diba mas malaki ito pag mas malayo bahay mo? im from laguna pa kasi, pero i plan to have an apartment/dorm/bedspace. Pero di ko sasabihin para mas malaki yung hazard pay. ok lang ba yun?

    hehe wala panaman, just in case lang. saka transpo allowance din.
    kugn mag cacallcenter kasi ako, for sure mag aapartment ako at as much as possible walking distance lang :D. Baka kasi pag sinabi ko walking distance lang ako nakatira, e hindi ako bigyan ng transpo allowance at hazard pay, sayang din yun pandagdag bayad sa rent:bop:

    btw magkaiba ba yung night shift at graveyard shift?:confused:
