A few (maybe important) additional notes:
I don’t know how to feel about Star Cinema’s Enteng Ng Ina Mo movie – it sounds as if it was just done for commercialization. I know I’m not aware what the story is like but if that “Ina Monticello will get lost in the world of Enteng Kabisote” – I may just put my two thumbs down for Star Cinema. It sounds interesting to a certain extent but then I have had enough of Enteng and Ina.
My Househusband movie, I hope they have a good story for this Judy Ann Santos – Ryan Agoncillo film. Their previous movies were box office hits but given that Star Cinema might not be part of the production of this film could make the impact of the movie less. This might just be another “Under De Saya” movie, I guess.
Segunda Mano (which was rumored to be entitled “Till Death Do Us Part”) unites Kris Aquino and Dingdong Dantes for the first time. This could be another co-prod by Star Cinema like “Dalaw” and will possibly tell us another horrifying story about romantic relationships. Segunda Mano literally means secondhand but I believe it somehow meant “Second half” which is why there has to be a romantic plot going on in the story.
Panday 2: Ang Ikalawang Aklat - this is really something. GMA Films and Imus Productions’ sequel of Panday (2009) has started rolling since Marian Rivera and Sen. Bong Revilla was spotted shooting Panday 2. I’m really excited about this one because of the amazing special effects and this will reportedly be released in 3D. The first live action Pinoy movie in 3D! And you know what? I’ve got my hands on the first teaser trailer of this film as early as now! ;-p
Mr.Wong, if I guessed it right this is going to be the film that was first offered to Vhong Navarro. I’m quite doubtful though if this is a Revolver Studio film, because if it is – then the movie “Mr. Wong” will be shot entirely in China. Yes! The first Pinoy Kung Fu movie in the new millennium.
Shake Rattle And Roll XIII – I cannot just miss this one. This is one of my favorite horror franchise despite having some really bad episodes. It looks like we’d be seeing Kathryn Bernardo running along with Albie Casino inShake Rattle and Roll 13 (Lunod, Tamawo, Parola). It’s nice to know Eugene Domingo will again topbill in a horror movie.
Hototay a Chinese food turned But this film sounds the weakest among. What is this a culinary comedy movie?
Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow is yet another drama film from Studio 5.
Meanwhile, missing in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival are Dolphy (RVQ Productions) and Viva Films. An animated film is missing, I hope they can produce 3D animated films yearly. Also two other supposedly entries did not make it on the list and they are.
Love Will Lead You Back starring Judy Ann Santos, Coco Martin, Gina Pareño and Maja Salvador by CineMedia.
Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story starring George ER Estregan, Philip Salvador, Baron Geisler, Sam Pinto, Bangs Garcia, and Carla Abellana.
Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman and 2011 Metro Manila Filmfest (MMFF) executive committee head Francis Tolentino announced the 8 entries yesterday.
I don’t know, if like last year a couple of indie films will be screened weeks before the start of MMFF.
MMFF 2011 will start kicking on December 25, 2011, Christmas Day!
