would you go as far as Inception when preaching the gospel or converting people to your religion?

Inception is a movie where a group of individuals (dicaprio) can enter into dreams and plant an idea on someone that can totally change that someone's life.

  • inception is a thought-provoking movie. there were endless possible conclusions that you can make.. for me, i have a feeling that its actually leonardo di caprio that he (the asian man) was trying to psychologically cure. that asian man or mafia in his dream is really his psychotherapist. and the people who were there were actually the representation of the different aspects of his personality, frustrations and desires. by the end of the movie, i think the asian man failed from getting leonardo out from his "denial and guilt for the death of his wife and the abandonment of their 2 kids". which is why i think there should be part 2.

if you want your child to exercise his/her freewill. you should not have baptized him in the first place without his/her consent. and the church should allow us to leave catholicism if we want to.

The Apostle Paul claimed that he resorted to lies and deception in order to support the cause of Christianity. If inception were available, Paul would have used it too.

people have been planting the ideas into people as soon as they are born. basically no different from "inception".

but i agree, it messes up ones "free will". both methods.

Agree on the first, disagree with the second.

Inception is just sexed-up proselytization. Ultimately, no different from Witnesses' knocking at your door to give you the good news.

But both methods do not rob you of your free will. It might 'mess' with it in the sense that your decisions are affected by the idea planted by the dreamweavers, but how is it different from everyday situations? Our decisions get affected by a myriad of factors.

    But we still decide.

ok, so create a new thread exposing his lies, let's see what they are and if he admitted it.
