How exactly do you deal with these kids then? Stay on your car?

Speeding bus drivers and wayward pedestrians aren't the only people motorists have to worry about on the road. According to GMA News' 24 Oras," gangs composed of children roaming the streets also pose a threat to motorists in Makati.
The children called batang hamog," are known to attack vehicles stuck in traffic. On Tuesday, Makati police apprehended several children aged 7-12 who are part of the street gang.
They were not jailed. They were instead turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development because there were minors.
The groups modus operandi consist of sending a member to knock on the window of an unsuspecting driver while another child opens the car door on the other side, according to the report.

Even locked cars are not safe as the group resorts to another scheme shaking the car until the driver steps out. With the car door left open, another member proceeds to loot whatever is inside the vehicle.
The group is known to strike during the rush hour traffic in the morning and in the evening. Authorities advise motorists to never step out of their vehicles, especially when stuck in traffic.
CCTV cameras have yet to be installed in areas where four cases of the criminal modus operandi were reported. Authorities, however, expect the cameras would soon be installed. MRT, VS, GMA News

We tried to get his attention.

This.is.NOT.rocket.science.
hindi mo ba naintindihan yung modus nila o sadyang puros hangin lang ang laman ng ulo mo?
kahit sarado pa ang mga pinto ng sasakyan mo, they would resort into shaking your vehicle and you as a driver, your first instinct is to protect your car from possible damage and quickly get out of the vehicle to make them stop and you may unknowingly leave the other doors open and they would use such opportunity to steal valuables from the inside of your car.
oh well, i think leaving an ample space in front of your vehicle while stuck on a red light or traffic jam and use the same to move forward when street kids or beggars would come near your vehicle is a good tip. just make sure that space is not big enough to allow another vehicle from other lane/s to occupy your front space --- sabi nga nila ang pinoy, hindi lang mahilig kumabit, mahilig din sumingit.0 -

You can modify a stun gun to connect the leads to your door handle and arm it while driving. If you don't want to do this, you can buy a baton type stun gun.
Cost : $60 online.
Baton stun guns have a longer reach, long enough to reach at the back passenger seat and window. You don't have to get out of your car. All you need is to open the window and have a happy time stunning them.
Even if they grab it, it will be futile as they will get a nasty electric shock. The top 6 inches of the baton are all electrified.

The.stupid.are.always.the.victims.
i had a bad encounter with them last saturday but in old sta. mesa-v.mapa route.
i thought my previous post made sense but i must admit i ate some of my words.
and no matter how logical one's mindset is, believe me one will never know the feeling until he is in that same situation of being helpless.
i am beginning to hate more and more kiko pangilinan and his comrades for authoring and lobbying the juvenile justice and welfare act. it is futile law as it has been giving these minor delinquents a statutory license to commit crimes.0 -

At least it's non-lethal. Zapping them like mosquitoes is a lot of fun. But, don't use pepper spray. I find it's dangerous to some people because it might cause allergies and prevent them from breathing. You might kill the little guy.
