    Guys I have another question.

Sa pagpasa ba ng visa application, kasabay ng PR visa fee ang RPRF? May nabasa kasi ako before na puwedeng PR visa fee muna then pag nag-ask na yung embassy ng RPRF, saka na yun ipapadala. I'm not sure though.

Thanks for those who can answer. :D

Isn't it that the PR Visa fee is inclusive in the application fee which is paid up front when you submit your application? While the RPRF is paid "before the immigrant visa is issued overseas or before the applicant becomes a permanent resident in Canada." Quote is taken from this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp. HTH

You will have to pay the following fees:

•The processing fee for you and your dependants must be paid when you apply. It is not refundable, even if your application is not approved.
•Wait until your application is processed to pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee for you and your accompanying spouse or common-law partner, if applicable. It must be paid before Citizenship and Immigration Canada issues your permanent resident visa. This fee is refundable if you cancel your application, if your application is not approved, or if you do not use your visa.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has been advised of an Internet visa scam that involves a convincing copy of the CIC website. An e-mail message ([email protected]) advises recipients that: “they have been selected for a free Canadian visa” and it includes a link to a fraudulent website: http://aslcpanthers.com/visa.html

E-mail recipients are asked up front to provide personal information and pay an initial fee.

    Read more about it here:

Kaya ingat tayo lagi mga kabayan. Ang daming mga manloloko diyan sa paligid. :grrr:

Each province got its own Provincial Nominee Program. You'll have to check each province's PNP to know what are the prerequisites for their PNP. One province's PNP might not be the same as others.

If you'll check Manitoba PNP, the website didn't say that friends could be sponsors.

You could also check other forms of Manitoba PNP from here:

It will depend kung marami kang kasabayan mag land that day, and on how many counters are open to serve the landing immigrants. Sa pila usually matagal kung hindi ka una sa linya. Sometimes you wait in line (for your number to be called) for 1 to 1.5 hours. The actual interview itself can be as short as 5 minutes.

If you are worried about catching a connecting flight, then I suggest alloting a 4 hour waiting period just to be safe. That's what I'd do... YMMV. Good luck.

Thanks leonleon. That's what the agent advised me. So I chose the CX/WS flight (with 5 hrs stop over) over the PAL/AC flight. Bahala na si Batman kung matapos ng maaga. Kain na lang muna kami ng anak ko para malibang siya, hehehe. Thanks again...

may article ngayon sa toronto star na madaming wives and children ng mga south asians (mostly indians and pakistanis) na umaasa ng supporta sa kanilang mga husbands na nagtratrabaho sa middle east. sobrang dami pala nila na ganyan ang set up dahil, according to the article, their educated, skilled husbands cannot find a job here in Canada or end up working in irregular, temporary jobs dito.

kaya advice ko lang, lalo na yung mga nasa middle east natin na mga kababayan, make sure na bago magimmigrate dito ay meron budget for accreditation or further education at baka magsisisi lang sa lack of equivalent jobs here. or maybe plan something similar sa mga ginagawa ng mga bombay dito. sobrang daming mga ganung sitwasyon at dapat ifactor in nyo ang budget sa pagaaral para mapaacredit dito ang propesyon nyo. magpunta pa din at magmigrate para sa pamilya nyo pero kelangan lang maghanda dahil mahirap talaga kung ikaw ay respected engineer, nurse or accountant sa middle east at magtratrabaho as temporary sa mcdo o tagabuhat sa warehouse ng ilang taon.

Good information, well said and a balanced view from you nicechair...

We also have the same history of our colleague also an indian, he said he cannot last the freezing cold during winter so he went out of Canada but left his family. Of course winter may not be the main reason but what you have just said.

    And by the way guys,
We also got our visa and will be leaving by next month...for those waiting, just keep the patience.....

You're very welcome loving_ma. Siyanga pala, you can use this to check whether your arrival date and time at YVR coincides with other (airlines') arrival date and time. The more planes coming in, usually means a lot of new immigrants are also landing:

    http://www.yvr.ca/en/flight-information/arriving.aspx

Kung marami kayong darating that day, ang tip ko eh unahan mo na silang lahat papuntang NEW IMMIGRANTS office -- RUN if you have to. ;) After your interview saka na kayo nag sight-seeing inside the airport, at least that way, tapos na ang matinding stress and pressure. *okay*

Swerte mo kung wala kang ibang filght na kasabayan.

    Good luck.

yeytet, good decision to bring your family here and at the same time making sure that you maintain your career/profession. make sure to prepare or make an arrangement that you maintain a comfortable life for your family like you are used to at the same time settling your family in a safe (but economically weaker) country. kaya either keep your good job their in the middle east muna or study to have your profession accredited here. might take you 2 to 3 years pero ok lang basta handa at may budget for that. bago ka magpunta alamin mo na yung mga requirements at aral kaagad.
