Any tips for Frosh 111?

Tips for the incoming Frosh? Like what to do on first day of classes, what to bring on first day of classes, etc. :)

  • Apply to transfer to DLSU-M!!! Haha. Just kidding. I suggest you bring ballpen, notebook, yellowpaper(this is crucial), index card, 2x2 & 1x1 pix. And put them on a bag. Haha. I think this covers your first week and not just your first day.

Be sane, wear accordingly depending ont eh dress code enforced on your course and have fun surviving.
  • Don't give in to the "PA-SOSY" pressure! Be yourself! :)
  • wag pa english-english if you're like nagpapa-impress sa blockmates. :bop:

they will quickly catch on if you're just trying to be cool. speak with what you're most comfortable with. it's been said a thousand times before but it always holds true, just be yourself. :D
  • if you're going to borrow books from the LRC (Learning Resource Center or the library) for the first time, be ready with your EAF, receipt and ID.

Pag kaya mo lang sila kausapin ng Tagalog na malalim, huwag kang matakot na ipakita sa kanila ang kailaliman ng bokabularyo mo.

However academic-wise, train yourself on speaking/writing English early on as you progress into your majors when you're already going to do your practicum and your thesis. Professors are kinda like the grammar police at times.

I am one with the profs with regards to grammar, fluently speaking what you have to say, and avoid jejemonic habits when you write! Dito pa lang sa PEx mag-praktis kayo na iwasang mag-post na parang nasa cellphone kausap niyo. :D

Benildean student culture varies from the lower-middle-class scholars up to the upper class students that usually clog up the streets of Estrada up to Taft Avenue with their cars and drivers. Learn to adapt to new found friends, don't try too hard to fit in, and let them accept you for who you are.

What to bring? Bring yourself first. Welcome to CSB! :D
  • 'Wag kayo masyado MAINGAY!
  • 1. Be yourself- remove the pressure that "you are the center of the Benildean world", 'cause truth is Benildeans really don't care about what you wear and how you speak, maybe how you look like(kidding)

    2. Benildeans HATE Jejemons, well most of the students from Elite institutions do hate them. If you are one, try to at least avoid having that habit-- 'cause that wouldn't do you any good but rather it makes you s*ckish in spelling:)

    3. Self-Bussing rule sa Cafeteria!

4.Be a Proud BENILDEAN. wonder why it is "Benildean-Lasallian" even if it's "De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde?" so that we would be reminded always of our Benildean identity and not leave it to extinct. Support the Blazers in the NCAA! Rather than watch the Green Archers sa UAAP.

And when they ask you: What school are you from?
    "*taas noo* Answer: BENILDE"

    ...
    Familiarize the Benildean cheers.

    "B-E-N-I-L-D-E! BENILDE! RAH!"

and other cheers, research or watch YouTube!

Memorize the Lasallian Hymn and the "Hail to Saint Benilde"

    ..

    All the Best, Benildeans!
    Welcome once again:)
