Beware of Janet Tan of Honda Cars Quezon Avenue!!!

I bought a Honda Civic with Comprehensive Insurance with them tru their sales exec Janet Tan last Oct 2010. I paid full cash:

Honda Civic 1.8S - 978 000.00
Malayan Comp. Insurance with AOG daw - 33 000.00
Free LTO REG

I paid total around 1 013 000.00 to her at Honda Quezon Ave.

Nag claim ako ng insurance first time last year November kasi sumadsad sa gutter yung sasakyan ko since first time driver kaso di daw complete ang papers ko sabi sa service center nila. Pinuntahan ko daw sales exec ko si Janet Tan. So pinuntahan ko sales exec ko at sabi nya sya na daw bahala maglakad nun at umuwi na lang daw ako. Ive waited 3 weeks then nag text sales exec ko i need to pay around 13 800. I paid it by cash. Tinanong ko sales exec ko Janet Tan na di pala covered yun ng Comprehensive Insurance sabi nya di daw. Im a first time car buyer so i dont know any of this stuff.

Nagasgasan yung sasakyan ko last January 18 as usual since kulang ang papers ko at di binigay ni Janet Tan ang policy ng insurance ko nag pay na naman ako ng cash sa Service Center nila around 10 000.

I had another claim around 12800 end of January kaso wala pa rin policy ng insurance ko na binibigay ni Janet Tan so i need to pay by cash again.

Later I have a friend na marunong sa kotse at may Honda sabi nya sakin bakit daw di ko ginagamit yung Comprehensive Insurance ko dapat participation fee lang ang binabayaran ko. So nagtanong tanong ako sa Honda Cars Quezon Ave and had a talk with the Sales Manager Erwin Asis. I just found out kulang talaga ang papers ko with my Comprehensive Insurance sa Malayan. Walang maibigay si Janet Tan na policy sakin until now even fully paid na ako sa insurance 33 000.

Now her Sales Manager Erwin is investigating the matter. So guys be careful with this Janet Tan baka binulsa lang yung binayad kong 33 000 for my insurance.

    ang dami mo naman minor accident wala pang 4 months naka 3 strikes ka na ...
    baka kahit sa comprehesive ay di ka payagan kung madalas kang mag claim ...
    bago i turn over sa iyo ang car dapat complete na ang papers niya maliban lang sa plaka na after 1 month ....
    {dapat may police report kung mag claim ng insurance }
  • my advise: never get insurance from the car delearship. aside from the fact they make more money there, these things might also happen.

    just an update

    naka usap ko na yung pinaka head ng Sales Department nila Dennis Sibucao. Yes nakita nga nila sa files nila may kababalaghang ginawa si Janet Tan. Theyll do their best to help me daw regarding sa mga damages na nangyari. Tumawag na rin sakin yung Sales Exec Janet Tan medyo umiiyak pa punta daw sya dito sakin para deliver yung complete Insurance papers ko. Pag uusapan din yung mga damages accumulated dahil dito at sya rin ata ang magbabayad.

    Most probably binulsa nga, iniisip/hoping siguro nung ahente na malamang eh hindi ka mag-claim(walang aksidente mangyari, etc) kaya di nya inayos insurance mo at ibinulsa na lang ang pera hehe.

    Next time, make sure na kumpleto papeles mo pagtapos mo magbayad. *okay*
  • Hindi ba dapat automatic pag kakuha mo ng auto, kasama na comprehensive agad? Kasi di-irrelease auto pag wala nito? Siguro nakita ng ahente mo bayad ka lang ng bayad at di mo ni follow-up ang mga papeles...kaya ganyan ang ginawa s'yo.

    Ang laki naman ng mga binayaran mo para sa mga gasgas...30K+ na agad? Kung ako s'yo di mo ni-claim ito sa insurance, kasi talo ka pa sa participation fee...gasgas lang naman, na ang usual na cost nito lamang ay nasa 1.5-2.5k lang per panel...charge to experience TS.

    Their Sales Head Dennis Sibucao just called me. Terminated na daw si Janet Tan. Ang problem ko ngayon since terminated na sya paano ko pa makukuha yung complete papers sa insurance at damages ko. Makipag meet daw si Janet Tan sakin mamya. Im not sure kung tutuloy pa sya since terminated na sya. Kalowka!

    nahalata siguro nila na newbie ka lang pag dating sa cars kaya tinaga ka sa repair .. before going for casa for body repairs mag tanong ka muna sa mga experience drivers baka may mas mura pa sa ibang shops .. {kung simple gasgas lang iyan .. repaint lang iyan } di mawawala ang warranty mo dyan pag pinagawa sa thrid party ..
    baka nga makuha pa iyan sa rubbing compund eh ...

    May nagdeliver ng Insurance papers dito sakin. Ang insurance ay Philippine Fire and Marine Insurance Corporation. 2 pages lang sya ehhh paano ba nalalaman kung complete at comprehensive insurance? Tawag na lang ako office nila tomorrow. http://www.philfire.com.ph

    Ibig sabihin nun insured ang kotse mo from May 19, 2011 to May 18, 2012. Kung binayaran niya yung insurance mo nung Oct 21, 2010, hanggang Oct. 20, 2011 lang covered ang kotse mo. Of course you have the right to get mad because your car wasn't covered from Oct. 21, 2010 to May 18, 2010 that's why you had to pay P30,000+ for damages incurred during that period. But if something disastrous or catastrophic happens to your car between Oct. 21, 2011 and May 18, 2012, you owe Janet Tan a great deal of thanks because your car was covered for that period.

    PS: I can't sympathize with people like the TS for posting these types of libelous and slanderous posts in the internet but have the convenience of hiding behind anonymous handles and nicknames.

    Mukhang mas maraming shoota si Janet Tan sa Tsikot.com because non of the members there are buying the TS' story. Especially the part where he handed over P 1,000,000 cash to the car sales executive.

    Pero mukhang maraming naniwala na one-million-times mas hotter daw si TS compared to the sales exec.
