first of all, that's just your opinion which doesn't mean others share the same thing.

tapos teh, if you're gonna say that someone is undeserving of her spot in AI, you should at least back it up with objective statements/valid reasons kung bakit ganun ang opinion mo instead of resorting to namecalling. otherwise, you just come out as an extremely bitter person whose favorite was obviously not good enough for the American viewers.

To a degree I'm with the TS on this. I didn't like Haley at first, then her voice kind of grew on me, not to mention that vocally she's the most improved vocally. What I hate about her is she gives that snotty attitude sometimes, the scowl on the face in front of the millions watching her. Despite that I hope she wins it because with the greats gone (Pia, Casey, Jacob, James), she's the best of the mediocre 3, and I think she'll grow even more after this.

But the sad thing is I am 104% sure Scotty will win.

^Improved vocally? Vocally, hindi mo talaga maintindihan yung mga sinasabi nya. She's just eating her words. Parang hinihigop nya ang ubo nya. And also, Scotty win is way better than undeserving Haley win. He can pawn her at the aftersales also. Scotty and Lauren are way better than her.

Hmm.. Someone is sour graping.

She has been giving the best performances (or 2nd best performance) every week since the Top 7. Her enunciation has greatly improved. I hated her when she sang "Fallin." She sounded drunk. She has been doing well since "Bennie And The Jets."

Stefano always sounded the same. He can only do ballads. He is the male Pia. When he went uptempo with "Closer," it was one of the cheesiest and corniest things I've seen. Like Jordan Dorsey doing "OMG."

Casey is the most talented of the bunch. But in his last two weeks, he went back to growling too much. Which is the reason why he was booted out the first time.

James is a great performer. But he is not a great vocalist. His last two weeks were really off. His two songs during Top 5 week were both awful and off-pitch. He would alternately be flat and sharp. It's so crazy. Last week, he was mediocre and karaoke-ish.

Haley had two back to back awesome weeks. She got two standing ovations. She has the only true moment of the show in "House Of The Rising Sun." Her effort last week, "I Who Have Nothing," can also be considered a moment.

Haley is the only one who comes out every week with everything she's got. She doesn't hold back. She knows she can go home anytime. Her fanbase kept growing unlike the others whose fanbases just plateaued because their performances have not leveled up.

Lauren seems to be gaining confidence. I think she has a great voice but she needs to take some breathing control lessons. Scotty is also good and also very smart. That 911 song? Pandering much? But he is not losing this thing. I am perfectly happy with this Top 3.

Move on already. So what if your favorites went home? If they're really talented enough, they'll make it big with or without Idol anyway.

Obviously, America thinks differently from you. They still want more of Haley, what can you do? They voted her in that Top 3 and rightfully so. Is she better than the other two? I myself believe she IS better but everybody has their say on that. Some with like Lauren's style, some will like Scotty's and some will like Haley's. It depends on the voting demographic they're appealing to.

All you can really do is live with whatever the results are and just enjoy the show. There's no need to be all negative about it.

Ha! That's one of the things I like about her. She doesn't take any crap from the judges. She knows what's up. She knows the judges don't like her. I'm glad she's not crumbling under pressure unlike some other person in the top 3 *cough*Lauren*cough. Besides, kung nakatayo lang siya doon, not defending her performances, she would then be called weak, spineless etc. Her tenacity in front of the judges shows that she's strong enough to handle criticism from the judges and probably strong enough to handle the music industry as well.

YES! Why is it that a female who stands up for herself is always considered a bitch? Why is it that women are expected to just cry when faced with hardship?



She has been getting the most criticisms for her performances, deserving or not. This is the first time she snapped. And it was about time! Most of what she said was to defend herself.
- "It wasn't the top of my range. I was just feeling it."
- "I don't think I should've changed that."
- "I heard you. You don't have to keep saying it."

When even the other contestants (Casey and Lauren) admit that they are picking on her, you know something's wrong. I'm actually impressed with her fighting spirit. The girl will not be put down. Good for her.

Her critique was just constructive and wasn't even harsh. She sang the first part flawlessly but later resorted to too much growling that hurt the song. She said the song needed no fixing, yes, but Randy saw it and was right 'cause the way MJ growled through the ending was perfectly poignant and soulful, while Haley just screeched and sounded to me like a someone's slitting her throat. There are growlers that sound great, like Steven Tyler does or MJ in that song, and Haley needs to improve on that. When she said "It wasn't the top of my range. I was just feeling it." and "I don't think I should've changed that."-- it was rightly so because she's just defending herself. Then she snapped to Randy "I heard you. You don't have to keep saying that."-- it was arrogant and uncalled for. She couldn't take it like a man (or a woman -lol) and Randy's critique wasn't even harsh. It's not a matter of whether the critique is true or not. The point is, she's the only one who gets any kind of critique.
- James goes off so much on "Without You." They say he's a true artist and gets called emotionally perfect.
- Lauren wobbles through "Unchained Melody" and chickens out on the glory note. They say there was nothing to judge about it.
- Scotty is ridiculously awful on "Young Blood." They say it's great that he brought humor into his performance.

I could go on and on.. Regarding "Earth Song," I didn't like it. She deserved the critique. Haley became defensive when Randy wouldn't stop talking even when Steven already started talking. That's why she snapped at him. You know, enough is enough.

No one calls her "the other girl." Link please? Especially with the way she stood up for herself last week, and having impressive (yet unappreciated by the judges) performances week after week, she has definitely made her mark.

It's not that the judges criticism weren't warranted. It's just that Haley is the ONLY ONE getting ANY SORT of criticism. And when everyone including freaking Jacob and James are "in it to win it" and are "beautiful" and Haley is the only one getting criticism, then that's a bit unfair, yes?

When James' vocal is awful (which is most often the case, IMO), the judges casually bypass that and give him general critiques of "you're so awesome" and "you showed so much emotion!" Not a single word about his vocal. This is what happened two weeks ago.

When Lauren's voice cracks in the middle of her song, the judges call it EMOTION! They don't call her out on her vocal issues like her breathing and her range.

But when Haley gives a great vocal as in the Gaga song, the judges very conveniently bypass the vocal and go straight into critiquing her song choice!

The judging is not consistent. There is a double standard for Haley. Obviously, we all have different musical tastes and have different favorites. But the judging has been unfairly lopsided.

you're so patawa. haley is great, she receives 3 standing ovation... moanin (duet with casey), house of the rising sun and i who have nothing.

even if it's haley vs pia in the top 2 (let's replace lauren for a while) haley will eat pia out. pia has clear voice but cant outbeat haley's growl and whistle and rap and yodel.

at first i dont like her too.. especially when she was happy when she was announced safe than thia megia going to the bottom 3. but as days went by, because of her fighting spirit and beautiful voice, i started to become her fan. as the TS was saying that haley is overstaying, it's because she gains more voters every week because she's undeniably spectacular. americans like underdog thats why they like ms. hail hail rainheart (haley reinhart).


we can overcome scotty if we will... haley fans overcame james... hello adam lambert vs kris allen.. thoughts have been adam would win and overpraised but due to kris' fans uniting, kris won! same with david cook vs david archuleta...

@durden/hanie_5 Yes I get the point, somehow the judges are relaxed with the rest, with Haley at least they're doing their job quite well. It's constructive after all, look how she's doing now. Randy's just having his usual diarrhea of the mouth as he does ever since the first season. My only thing is the WAY Haley snapped (not the fact that she did, which was applaudable) was snotty and rude, almost as if saying Shut up Randy 'cause I heard you already. She's clearly pissed and could've been more nonchalant at that. I'm just happy her voters looked past the attitude to make her stay, unlike what happened to Jacob lusk earlier.

she should be ok for as long as she can back it up with great performances. the people knew better.
