sino sino ang foreign players sa NCAA
at anong school sila maglalaro. are they
paid to play for a certain school. kasi
nagtataka lang ako bakit dito sa pinas
nila gusto mag aral.

    kasi mura tuition fee sa pinas, di ka ba nagtataka kung bakit ang daming koreans and other nationalities na dito nagaaral? i think no player is paid to play, ginagawan na lang ng issue para makapanira ng ibang school

    di ba meron scholarship ang mga players,
    tingin ko may bayad yan kasi yung local
    players meron pa kotse bukod sa scholarship
    import pa kaya.

    Madali naman explain kung bakit sila naglalaro dito eh. Free education. Yung mga Africans mga galing sa hirap na hindi makakapag-aral sa magagandang colleges sa Africa so dito nalang.

    Si Sudan hindi rin naman mayaman and he knew that he wouldn't have gotten a scholarship sa US kase he's not good enough.

    ^He's from the States. Hindi mayaman ang pamilya nina Sudan. Onga madali makakuha ng scholarship. But a full BASKETBALL SCHOLARSHIP? I don't think so.

    Before anyone get any idea, he was the one who approached the team when they were training in the US.

    He knew that he couldn't get a FULL BASKETBALL SCHOLARSHIP sa US dahil he's not good enough. He cannot afford to pay for his college education. So he went to the Philippines where his education is free and where people call him "Superman".

    Kung makakuha man siya ng scholarship, malamang sa pipitsuging college lang sa US yun. Baka hindi pa full scholarship. Yes, there are now a lot of scholarships. Pero you're not going to get a FULL BASKETBALL SCHOLARSHIP if you're not good enough.

    kasi i doubt kung yung education niya dito sa pinas tangapin for employment sa states. plus di rin siya puedeng maglaro dito bilang local player sa D-LEAGUE nga di na siya pinapayagan. anyway ano naman kung ayaw niyong aminin na may bayad ang mga imports niyo it is your money anyway

    Full scholarship ka ng full scholarship diyan eh ano magagawa mo kung basketball player yung tao at kung gusto niya maglaro ng basketball.

    Sudan is a basketball player. He wants to play basketball and he wants to get a FULL BASKETBALL SCHOLARSHIP. Sa tingin mo, may magbibigay sa kanya dun? Eh hindi naman siya kagalingan compared sa mga college students dun? Kung meron man, eh pipitsuging college lang.

    While he's playing basketball, he wants to play and not rot on a bench on some community college in the States where he's just one of many.

    LOL. Minamaliit mo naman ang diploma ng mga Pinoy schools. Maski nga hindi college graduate nakakakuha ng trabaho sa states eh.

    Hindi namin kelangan aminin dahil walang kelangan aminin. Magbigay ka ng proof na may bayad si Sudan. Hindi yung pipilitin mo lang kami umamin.

    A lot of players gets "perks" in the forms of education, allowances, apparels, residence and so on.. from the boosters, admin, etc.. especially the good players.

    There's a myth that when the Semerad twins were looking for a school to play for, they approached Letran and their mom asked Coach Alas what else can Letran offer to her boys. Coach Alas just said extra rice. Well we all know they did not play there.

    Some schools just offers more "extra rice".

    To answer the thread question Mapua might be getting the services of Chris Porter who is an American. A transferee from TIP. Well i don't know if there is any "extra rice" involved in getting him to play for us. If everything goes well ,next next season pa siya puede maglaro para sa amin.

    Watch out for Arellano's Charles Mammie. He's around 6'7", bulkier than SBC's Daniels. A rebounding monster he will be for the Chiefs this S87.

    Perpetual last year has an African recruit who plays guard. Same size as Njei and loves to score a lot. I don't know if he's still there.
