Is this true? ->SM MOA's scam on 3D movies

Is this true guys?

I was told by my former classmate in college that if you watch a 3D movie at SM Mall of Asia (just the regular movie house showing 3D not IMAX), they'll fool and force you to get a regular pop corn for P50?

They'll bill you P250, (P200 for the 3d MOvie, P50 for the pop corn). What's worse is that they don't issue receipt for the P50 pop corn which is tax evasion. Imagine how many patrons watch 3d movies in MOA in a month?

ISSUE 1: They will fool and force you to buy a P50 worth of pop corn

ISSUE 2: They will not issue receipt for your pop corn, approx P1M + sales per month without paying taxes

Please confirm this guys.

Thanks

1st, no one can force the customers to buy...If a customer buys something that he/she doesn't want then it's his/her fault....

2nd, At 250 pesos, the 3D price w/ popcorn is actually quite fair(some cinemas charge 300+ pesos for 3D movies and this only covers the ticket)

We watched there last month. Hay.

price is relative. The question here is not about if the P250 is fair or expensive. The question here are:

    1. does SM MOA really forces you to buy "the 'free' pop corn" because according to my classmate, what's written on the movie stub: P200 ONLY (for the movie).

    2. They don't issue receipt for the additional P50 that they charge which is a form of tax evasion. All sales more than P25 should have an official receipt.

12% VAT of P50 is P6 per person. You just can't imagine how many people watch 3d movies at sm moa cinemas in a month. We're talking about millions of pesos of unreported sales to BIR. We all automatically pay our taxes as employees, si SM sobra na ang kita at yaman, nanloloko pa :(

If it is indeed a package then IMO it's just right for them to ask for 250 pesos...

The receipt thing is a whole different story though...If it is a package, the ticket should reflect 250 pesos or a separate receipt for the 50 pesos should be issued

Thats trure. Ive experienced that a lot na parang sa sobrang excited mo na manood eh nagiging irrational ka na and just bayad na lang. but for me just the word "package" itself, you cant break down the charges. you're buying only the ticket, pero may kasama nang popcorn cos its a part nga of the 250peso package.
  • dapat di talaga package yan,

3D rin ako nanood sa MOA ng Thor and di ko gusto ng popcorn or hotdog sandwich. I don't buy snack on their snack bar peor walang choice kasi mapipilitan kang kunin kasi binayaran mo yun.

That happens on all major smcinemas. Sa gateway nga, P270! Pero may kasama small drink. Frankly I dont really like 3d. Maybe once in a while. I prefer 2d instead.

Tara, ireklamo sa DTI. Hahaha. How I wish! =)
  • Nanloloko nga sila. I watched 3d na at SM Moa. May small stub na cut out yung receipt, yun ang kukunun sa cinema bar in exchange for your "free daw" na hotdog or pop corn.

Manloloko.
  • Paging DTI.

  • Time to visit DTI's website. Please someone should report this one.
  • my friends and i watched rio 3d sa glorietta, 300 ang price pero wala naman sinabi about popcorn. Bat parang ang mahal sa glorietta? First time to watch 3d kasi eh.

Nangyari din sa akin yan. Nagpareserve ako ng 12 tickets sa IMAX for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows thru landline. First time kong manoood sa IMAX so tinanong ko magkano. P350 pala per ticket kasi may kasamang popcorn.
